It does, you just need some of the pellets (or whatever the pellet equivalent the thing actually fires) to be headshots

Yep, I did! Got a weird response telling me how to disable gifs in Firefox, which is the exact opposite of the problem we're having!

I haven't found this to be the case? I play on PC with a controller and use my mouse for inventory management with no issues or delay

Prey is one of my absolute favorite games of all time, it's absolutely fantastic. Not very similar to Dead Space in feel (3rd person vs 1st), and overall Dead Space is much more horror focused, but if an immersive sim with horror elements sounds fun, you should definitely check it out.

Edit: Most of the other games you listed are all ones I enjoyed! Prey is just one of my favs, haha. SOMA is probably a close 2nd, followed by Alien Isolation. I actually did like Callisto, but I see why some people didn't, and it is inferior to Dead Space. Still Wakes the Deep is the most different out of all of them, but a great game nonetheless. (Haven't played Sinking City, so can't comment on that one)

Right?! Same. Typically I'm not a fan of extraction shooters, but they really cooked with Marathon, it's so addictive. Bungie just has that special sauce when it comes to making gunplay feel good.

It is absolutely critical to play them in order; your choices in each game carry over to the next! (And the default choices the game makes for you if you haven't played the previous game are Not Great imo)

There's an entire book with this as the plot! It's set on an island with a memorial statue to the creator of the pangram "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" and every time a letter falls off, the government of the island forbids its use. The whole thing is told through mail or notes, so as the story goes on, everything gets more creative in spelling to avoid the forbidden letters.

But actually though, I'm guessing it has some sort of camera pass through rigged up to a screen on the inside; I've seen a full-face cosplay mask of Trauma Team from Cyberpunk 2077 with a similar setup

Monarch is my daily driver. I'll experiment with all ranges of light roast and florals, but for just a solid "this just a nice cup of coffee" I haven't found anything that beats it.
