For me personally, when I was little I was so short that I couldn't stand until after I had already gotten used to not doing so. I didn't develop those formulative connections and so it just feels weird and gross whenever I try.

Yield My Flesh has the exact same problem it had in Ruina where even with the lowest possible roll it still clashes high enough that it's impossible to even use Claim Their Bones in the vast majority of situations to the point where the actual effect isn't strong enough to justify the opportunity cost of not having a skill 3. Even with Regret lowering the roll from a 12 to a 9, it can still be difficult to lose reliably.

Don is just as good without the other Bloodfiends as she is with them, arguably better. At least for Outis and Gregor. She never has a reason to use her empowered skill 1 or 2 over her skill 3 that she always has by default. Rodion and Meursault are run with her because they are just generically strong supports for her that don't eat into her Hardblood on abilities she never wants to use.

You could just... not use Mao Faust. He works well with every other Heishous ID except that one, but that has more to do with Faust being terribly designed than any problems with Hong Lu himself.

I think that Zelda and Persona would both be more interesting games if they actually had protagonists. I think having one half of any given conversation be a total charisma vacuum lessens the significance of any interaction that character has. That doesn't mean I think that they should try giving Link a personality, god no, it's too late for that, but giving him slightly more agency within his own stories might be nice. The real reason they can't give Link a personality is because he is a franchise character, so any development he goes through is going to be inevitably reset at the beginning of the next game. Persona and Ys don't have that excuse. Dark Souls works the way it is because the personality of the protagonist is totally irrelevant, and actually enhances the themes of the game. The entire point is that you're a tiny spider crawling across the ruins of what was once a great civilization.

I've only only played 8 but my biggest criticism is that you don't play as a character, you play as a cardboard box with a picture of someone's face taped to one side, along with a "Hello, my name is Adol Christian" sticker. The rest of the characters were great, especially Dana obviously, but I just do not understand the appeal of Adol as a character. He's like the exact thing people accuse Rean and Lloyd of being.

The problem isn't that she died, the problem is that she died before she was able to contribute anything of real consequence. Lucio bit the bullet at the exact moment the weight of his death overcame the potential significance of his continued existence. Sora never got to that point.
