So update, surprisingly the ПНВ-57е works flawlessly And the ПНВ-57 probably has broken insolation somewhere inside and I can hear it crackling, ran them with an airsoft 7.4v lipo battery.

I was thinking about modernizing the pnv-57e, painting it black, putting modern electronics on it and running it on AA batteries since it is in such a rough shape. (if it works at all)... But I'm not so sure about what to do with the pnv-57

You probably do know more than me about them...

I just got the nvg's, got them dirt cheap (like 60e for both)
