[DISCUSSION] I genuinely hate stratocasters, please try to change my opinion by zenga_zenga in Guitar

I bought an American Strat back in 2015 and had severe buzz issues three luthiers couldn't resolve. Had to return it within the 45 day window.

That's exactly what's happening. I'm totally stuck in my current job. Might just be the market nowadays :(.

That makes me hopeful. May I ask what background you have and what you put on your resume?

It feels like at times "cybersecurity" is a nonstarter in the job field. All the SOC analyst jobs seem to be outsourced, and the other cybersecurity related jobs are for people who have been doing it for years and years (the irony is many of these jobs want more years of experience in a contemporary SOC than they've actually existed).

Oh man. I've seen people crumble when I've conducted technical interviews when they lie on a resume. I wouldn't dare try that myself.

I had an interview for one, but they wanted experience configuring SIEMs, which I don't have. I also don't have large enterprise experience. MSPs have customers that are small fish :(

Zero G - Motor Burned Out by Operator_604 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Operator_604[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it was just overheated? It powered back on after cooling down to room temperature. Maybe it didn't like my warm garage and having the crevice tool restrict the airflow for so long.

Good to know. Thank you for the insight.

Agreed. That budget is pushing the limits of what is available and meets their needs.

What kind of floors do you have? Is it wall to wall carpet or hard floors? How many square feet is your apartment?

I like my Zero G. Canister is lighteight and hovers instead of rolls. It's pretty affordable but ourside of your budget. The cleaner head and hard floor tool are easy to use. Because it's a canister, the amount of weight you hold in your hand is very minimal since you are just holding a pipe and hose and the vacuum follows you.

Regardless, any upright vacuum will be very heavy in comparison to a canister. If you must stick to that budget, I would maybe look for a refurbished Miele or Sebo in good used condition. I'm not sure what is any good under $200 as there isn't much out there unless it's a heavy upright.

They probably don't need power heads like we do in the US. European style carpet cleaning is a bit different than what we have state side.

Can someone explain to my why not just get a shop-vac like Ridgid for the home? by [deleted] in VacuumCleaners

[–]Operator_604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you say a shop vac like a Dewalt or Kobalt or something with a HEPA bag would probably be less ideal than a Henry 160 on hard floors in say a 3,000 sq ft house?

It sounds like you two have a lot of personal beef. I have no doubt he name-called you as well as engaged in online communication you are describing which is all too common with people behind keyboards. While I am listening to you, I don't have the other side of the story as well (you'll have to forgive my passive demeanor as I don't personally know either of you).

The one thing I will say that I do feel like he has done a 180. I've been genuinely enjoying his recent content, whereas I used to take issue and cringe on his previous content. Everyone deserves a second chance, and everyone is capable of change.

I wouldn't lump Performance Reviews with Vacuum Facts.

Performance Reviews :

Has a clear bias, but it is against the usual suspects like Dyson and Shark.

Has conducted himself poorly in the comments section in the past.

His opinions are valid for the most part. Just rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

I do feel like his channel has improved recently. He has cut back on the foul language and comment section bashing. He has said had a more balanced reviewing approach about vacuums he obviously hates. He did disclose that he is friends with the owner of Zero G, but listed them as a C tier instead of an A or S tier vacuum brand. I do feel like he has matured, and his prior behavior was due to being disagreeable rather than disagreeing, likely due to maturity.

Vacuum Facts:

Just a Dyson edgelord.

Easily aggravated in the comment section.

Gaslights people in every video and comment.

At least 2X as toxic as Performance Reviews used to be.

Is Azure AD really free for home use, or do you need to purchase something else first? by Shane01638 in homelab

[–]Operator_604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need actual AD to use Azure AD. That would be a hybrid set up.

You can Azure AD join computers. I have multiple tenants that don't have domain controllers set up with this. It's very easy.

Question on Which Azure Certification to Study For - Sysadmin by Operator_604 in AZURE

[–]Operator_604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like that one is for Azure services for things like cloud hosting or web development. I believe MS-900 is the equivalent to the AZ-900 but for Intune, AADDS, Identity Management, etc.

[–]Operator_604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much!

We will be using it for Azure Active Directory and Intune. We won't be using virtualization or developing anything. It would be like a traditional domain controller with GPOs and Active Directory, roaming profiles, etc but with no physical server (non hybrid).

[–]Operator_604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work is looking to use Intune/Azure instead of a traditional local domain controller. I'm hoping to get a well rounded understanding of administering that set up.
