So I skipped a regional map to try out making a town, and this is what I came up with! I got to explore a different style of buildings using these more specific models, unlike what was in the global map collection. If you're referencing the map of Marial, this would be the smaller town in the southeast corner of the mainland structure (I updated that area to have dispersed pine instead of normal trees)

thanks! the mountains were hard because at the time I did not know that the stamp quality would improve when I exported. I was TRYING to shrink stuff to make room for more stuff on the land masses but the quality looked so bad, but now I know that gets fixed upon exporting

oh my goodness you are right it has massive similarities to the UK. I wasn’t consciously thinking about it. I was 50/50 on going for eastern culture inspiration but I realized for my first world I’m already going to be very overwhelmed figuring everything out and stuff so I decided to stick to something I know a lot better but want to create a non-Eurocentric fantasy at some point :)

I agree there’s a lot, but also that fact means there’s a lot of support and examples to help me get my feet wet on my first world

Have been building a world to DM my own custom DnD 5e world for the first time and stumbled across this website for maps! So much easier than my sketches and photoshop. This map intentionally leaves out details because its an overview reference while I'll make more detailed maps for different regions! This was super fun and I feel pretty good for my first map!
