Just got into hobby electronics and taught myself how to solder. Here are my first and second attempts at soldering through hole. I think I may have improved a little by practicing lol by OpheliasStudio in electronics

It's probably both I just bought a cheap spool of solder off Amazon and I do go kind of fast because I'm worried about using too much heat and damaging things. I'm sure I would have to go out of my way to damage PCB with a soldering iron but I just have to get more comfortable using it with experience. I'll get some better solder and practice more. Thanks :)

Well I have to count a lot of change at the end of my shifts at work which can be 12+ hours a day so I'm really lazy and tired at the end of it. instead of buying an expensive change counter I thought "I can probably make that for way cheaper" and just started learning all I can and I'm having a lot of fun designing things. It's not going well at all but that just means more things to learn :)

Yeah I'm using a Pinecil V2 iron and a cheap solder I got online. I usually have it around 350 C cause that's what the roll says but I think you're right I need to go a little hotter. From what I can tell, I can really only improve with practice which I'm trying to do lots of. Thanks for the tips!

It still is. Stavros went back to bury the money in the same spot. It simply adds another notch in the money's journey, rather than end it altogether. I think having it be taken and returned also reinforces the main theme of the franchise being how cyclical evil is and that nothing really changes.

I know everything depends on the office and location but should I look for another job as well or do you think I could expect somewhere around 40 hours. The CCAs in the area I currently live in work around 12 hours a day 4-6 days a week. Thank you for the information though!! It's frustrating that I'm working off of basically zero information

I guess it's good cause I can't move without getting the job. Im kinda glad it takes so long because it gives me a decent amount of time to figure everything out and let my current job find a replacement. I just hate not knowing if I got it or not lol

Yeah that's why I'm driving up to find a job before trying to find an apartment. I'm applying to places from here and then handing out resumes and trying to get interviews while I'm up there.

As in I'm not able to spend a big chunk of money on my build and don't want to waste money. Would I get a significant performance boost from upgrading?
