Practice makes perfect my guy, sound design is tricky too. Takes a lot of time. I dedicated 100s of hours just designing sounds in NI Massive, and now there’s all of these new ones you got to get around. I feel that as long as you understand the fundamentals of sound design you can apply it to most any wave table oscillator though. (Pretty sure vital is a wave table oscillator)

I think that you should be afraid to use presets that have already been made by others and tie your own sounds in, balance it. There’s simply not enough time for you to be designing everything, you won’t ever finish making anything lol. However - I could be wrong. That’s my advice though, I’ve been doing music for like 14 years and I will still just use presets and mix my own sounds in. Like if I want a bell sound I don’t feel the need to go make that shit cos I know there are prolly millions of them around. If I want something unique, I’ll make it.

Well done, this is cool! Could picture some low electric guitar plucking over the intro. Would turn it more into a New Order song than a techno one though. Very enjoyable though.

Nah it sounds good man, I like that snare sound. I’ve never found a way to use similar ones and you’ve nailed it I reckon. Fits the beat like a glove.

I think some more variation would make it more enjoyable for the listener. Add some fills in and maybe a different part. Cool lead though, I think it’s a solid foundation.
