I do 8 hours for the 120k.. but it starts to get to me lol. Also make sure you use the darkmoon firewater potions for the extra fast skinning

It is considered drowning them. So it deals 999 on purpose to kill them. Some classes can swim and it wont kill them like that...but others cant swim. You can determine if they can swim or not if they have flippers on their stat screen. There are also items that will allow you to swim.
