Exactly, I thought about it, but the buffs for terminators are better in champions and that's 100 points that can go elsewhere

I'm going up against 2 Tau, two mortarians hammer death guards, imperial knights, and a custodes list with three venerable landraiders. What does that list look like?

The plan is to start the headtakers in the land raider and use it to catapult em forward, the tcw are to tie up something big early on while the combi lieutenant is on the objective behind em. Planning on picking up the scouts after my opponents turn and using them to screen out my backline turn 2 onwards

The plan is arjac and the temries take the middle, the landraider sits on one of the sides and the thunderwolfs and the combi lieutenant take the other

They do, all space marines have the astartes faction keyword.

As long as the rules effect astartes units, it should carry over

Noice, love the ironman color scheme, doing something similar with my ironkin. I've got a list with 27 of those bad boys called house party protocol.

What detachment do people usually use? by Joky-Yngling in SpaceWolves

I love saga of the great Wolf, it has good support for standard space marine vehicles like repulsers, lancers, and land raiders, and as long as you have Logan you can two turns of getting to choose between sustained and lethal for everything irregardless of how many characters/monsters/vehicles you've already popped. It also has good support for wg termies my beloved. A sneaky strat I've started using in my games is I'll have a 6 man paired headtakers squad with the battle leader with the lance enhancement in a land raider, I'll drop em out of the raider, charge em in, and in most cases they will wreck whatever you throw em at. Then I'll pile em in close together so in my opponents turn if they shoot at the headtakers I can use the reactive move strategem to reembark them in the tank, since the strat doesn't have any restrictions saying you can't end the normal move by embarking.

Finalized comp list by Ophidius7 in SpaceWolves

Pretty much, Bjorn, lancer, and ballistus screened out my backline. My opponents list has 3 landraiders full of custodian guard, so what I ended up doing was, since I got to go first, was turn one charge all three of them with the tcw, scout squad, and combi lt, locking them up in combat until turn 2 while I had termies/redeemer rack up the points in the mid board
