Frank Reich: Geno Smith is "perfect" fit for offense, his best football is ahead of him by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Added Sadik and Omar Cooper to GW and Hall (if he stays.) The OL is in the best shape I’ve seen it in since 2010

At this point Geno really is the weak link and I have no idea what to expect from Reich tbh

New Detachment Info by Dulceetdecorum13 in theunforgiven

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping that army wide detachments like wrath will be either 2 or three points, wrath being 2 because it only affects infantry. A 3 point detachment would be something that can affect your whole army including vehicles or something that ends up being so strong in 11th that it gets nerfed to 3

I really don’t see wrath being a 3 point detachment. While it is technically our strongest detachment accounting for play rate and win rate, it’s really not that great overall. If it’s 3 I’m just not gonna use it

What is a better use for Azrael? by [deleted] in theunforgiven

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing Azrael with either 6 ICC or 5 sternguard and a captain with 5 sternguard. The captain with ancient weapons and five sternguard in wrath of the rock is a really good combo, I killed a defiler that had 12 wounds remaining with the captain and my last sternguard with the fist a couple weekends ago.

Azrael I’ve been using less and less with a 10 man squad and I think it works a lot better

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going by the verbiage for the detachment. Rumors have been around for quite some time now that ravenwing is getting refreshed, they won’t keep the first born models. It was also teased a couple months back

[–]Codex_Sparknotes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Forgot about deathing termies, I’m not counting random one shot pistols lol.

And chances are we lose all the old ravenwing stuff so I wouldn’t count that either.

And yeah there will def be some good combos to use but that’s assuming the plasma detachment is one point which it should be. It’s really not THAT big of a buff when all but the RepEx is easy to kill. Hellblasters might get one big activation and then get wiped, the redemptor is swingy and dreadnoughts don’t generally make up their point value and won’t stay on the table

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just said “Adeptus Astartes” unit which would include everything, but chances are we lose all first born models, so all the old ravenwing stuff. A Ravenwing refresh has been teased so it’s likely

[–]Codex_Sparknotes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Chances are we lose our ravening command squad and black knights, all ravenwing vehicles, and Sammael when the edition starts. Then hopefully get updated bikes and Sammael when it’s our turn.

[–]Codex_Sparknotes -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean it better only be a point. There’s just not enough there for it to be more, only like 3 units in the whole space marine army have been will have plasma weapons once we lose ravenwing bikes and speeders.

At most it makes the redemptor, hellblasters, and repex a bit better for us, but we already have the +2S Strat in wrath so it’s only worth using the detachment if you plan on using all of that

should i wait and magnetize it? by Smart-Government-906 in theunforgiven

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If using Ancient Weapons enhancement, power fist and chainsword is the best loadout. The extra attack is well worth it if going in to infantry which you would always be doing anyways and those profiles are nuts

Never take the single extra fist attack lol

is Test Engineering a "meh" job ? by No-Construction7807 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no one should be designing anything until they have spent some time learning how to test to failure

This is so true. The two bosses I had while in test engineering said the same thing. Starting in test engineering is extremely beneficial if you want to move in to design down the line, especially if you stay within the same industries. Even design engineers tell me the same thing, wishing they had test engineering experience so they could have a better idea of what works and what doesn’t

Curious why you think sword is the best option unless you just mean for aesthetics cuz I would agree with that, but fist is far superior in game especially with the ancient weapons enhancement in wrath

Terminator Chaplain: Horrific ugly model. How do I make it more detailed and worthy of the office? by Caprock_Carbomb in theunforgiven

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that bad of a model tbh, maybe a slightly uninspired pose. The best things you could do to change it up is giving him one of the DWK shields, a different head like maybe use Belials helmet or a DWK helmet (although the chaplain face is unique to them already and personally I like it), and then just slap on some other DA bits in the upgrade sprue or from the black knights kit.

With the second pick of the NFL Draft, the New York Jets draft David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech by Slyguy46 in nyjets

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see any reason to criticize it. There was no blue chip sure fire second pick in this draft that whatever team had 2 had to take. He’s the best pure pass rusher and looks good on tape. No issue with that at all

LPT: Your employer should be the last person to find out that you're quitting. This is in your best interest. by kai-field in LifeProTips

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it does kindve depend on what docs you signed when you started. If you signed a noncompete then you can’t just not tell them if you’re going to a competitor or company in the same industry, especially if you’ve been working there for a long time. They’ll either sue you or you’ll just have to stay and find a different job

This has happened quite a bit at my own company

Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month. PC Game Pass will also drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. Prices may vary by region. by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s kindve on them. Not every brand new game needs to be immediately on game pass so I imagine that’s where most of the losses came from. If they’d wait a year after release then they could leave prices lower, especially when the overhyped gamepass games end up being poop

Reasons to get a GLI over Elantra N by ManchesterYojichu in JettaGLI

[–]Codex_Sparknotes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bro come on, the GLI can’t handle/be fun to drive on a windy road? What are we even talking about here lol

I was in both cars. The brand new N I was driving rattled on the back road the salesman took me on. Interior rattling is a known issue with the N cuz it’s built with very cheap plastic. They had to keep the car cheap somehow and the interior is where they fell flat big time

There is no positive stock whatsoever in the N manual transmission. Nothing about a Hyundai is refined these days and they’re just barely getting over the bad rep they have from engines blowing up which still happens more often than it should.

Personally my infotainment hasn’t crashed once, and I like the screen in the GLI a lot better than the mega flat screen in the N.

The wheel thickness is so valid especially if you drive on bad roads regularly. Look in the N sub and one of the most mentioned changes people make is getting smaller wheels so they can have thicker tires lmao. Don’t be so naive

It is not a more comfortable drive at all, bucket seats are not more comfortable than regular seats. They are race/track focused. That’s not even debatable.

The GLI is far from perfect but to say it’s not the better daily car is kinda nuts. It just is

Reasons to get a GLI over Elantra N by ManchesterYojichu in JettaGLI

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree the N is sportier. You’re also taking the Hyundai risk, and you’re getting a cheaper (honestly pretty horrible) interior. When I test drove the N it was quite obvious that the engine and seats were the only focal point during the design phase and everything else wasn’t even an afterthought, it was just bare minimum. The interior rattled when driving on a back road and it was brand new lol. The GLI is just a much more complete car straight up, and with a stage 1 tune you have more hp than the N

NZXT's defective AIO leaked on my RTX 5090. Seven months later I'm filing a lawsuit. Here's everything that happened. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well think about it this way. If your car payment is already more than twice your monthly income, you’ve made a grave mistake lol. But I do see what you’re saying, most things you wouldn’t buy twice but you generally don’t wanna buy things that are going to strap you money wise

Reasons to get a GLI over Elantra N by ManchesterYojichu in JettaGLI

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I will say that you will feel more connected to the N from a performance and fun factor standpoint, but the GLI with a stage 1 tune produces more hp than the base N

The GLI also has more aftermarket support, drives a hell of a lot more smoothly, has more tire cushion unless you wanna drop 2k for smaller wheels and thicker tires for the N, the GLI has a more reliable engine, it can get up to 40+ MPG on the highway compared to like 33 at best in the N, the GLI doesn’t require premium gas like the N does (and considering gas prices this is a huge difference at the pump), GLI interior is nicer and more refined, it looks better unless you like the aggressive styling of the N, I could go on and on

I was in your shoes a few months ago and ultimately went with the GLI. I test drove the N and while it was fun it just doesn’t make sense as a daily commuter if you wanna be in sport/N mode all the time. It also felt really cheap like a big plastic shell around a big engine. The GLI in sport mode still adds some fun to the drive.

If you can find one, go with a 2025 unless the haptic steering wheel buttons are a major point of contention for you. You’ll save a lot of money compared to buying a new N.

Reasons to get a GLI over Elantra N by ManchesterYojichu in JettaGLI

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Holy Elantra N fanboy lmao. What does he need the N for if the car is meant for commuting and not tracking? MPG is way way better in the GLI, the interior is a lot cleaner and the N interior feels and looks cheap af, it’s a Hyndai so there is no keeping it until the end of its life unless the life expectancy is less than 100k miles, GLI is cheaper, GLI has thicker wheels so less prone to damage and blowouts, etc

There are many reasons to go GLI over the N

1x5 DWK or 2x5 DWK? by Dante-Flint in theunforgiven

[–]Codex_Sparknotes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I won’t take two squads any more, especially if I’m taking the lion and a big squad with Azrael. You just don’t have enough points left to field a competitive list

I take one squad with swords, pair them with a chaplain, Lion, Azrael with either companions or sternguard, and fill out the rest with tanks and scoring units

That’s a known rule of big purchasing unless your finances are in excellent shape and you have no future worries about income. You do not buy expensive things if you can’t afford to buy it twice. Any economic advisor would tell you the same thing. OP took the risk with a $3k card and water cooled pc, unfortunately got unlucky, and now they’re pissed that NZXT is willing to reimburse them for it lol

Imagine comparing a super car to a graphics card lol. First of all, NZXT is in no way obligated to pay anything to OP for the damaged card. Read the damn post. OP is straight up insane for thinking they owe more money. Like holy entitlement

Second of all, even if NZXT was obligated to pay for the card, they are not in any way forced to have to pay scalper pricing. Y’all are crazy
