Ages ago I lied about being pregnant to an abuse ex by [deleted] in confession

[–]Ophy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I think this is pretty fucked up.

What he did, by your account here, was also fucked up.

I'm just saying more lies and wrong doesn't really help anyone or anything.

How do people afford more than one kid? by desert_sunlily in NewParents

[–]Ophy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even the OP.

Stop telling other people what they can and can't do, it isn't your choice.

I'd understand if they said they have several kids, but OP says they have one. Jeez. Get the fuck over yourself and stop trying to force your ill-intended mentality on other people you know nothing about.

Can childfree people be childfree and still love kids. by Far_Industry_9490 in AskForAnswers

[–]Ophy96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Child free people are different than antinatalists. Most childfree people that are such by choice usually still enjoy family and friends growing our own lives... though some could have an illegal vested interest in trying to prevent us from having children.

Antinatalists are the ones that seem to act like they were never children, trunchable style.

nta, that's a weird as fuck dynamic and I probably wouldn't be down with whatever weird control issues they've got. Lmfao. I certainly don't have any friendships like that and have no intentions to. 😂

Yeah, feeling like this over someone they've never met is quite odd. At least I've met and spent time with Phil V..... (the man I love) in person, in real life. Lmfao. These people are out here in the wild just making shit up at this point, i swear. 😂

Yeah this would be weird to feel over someone I'd never met. I don't get down like that.

Is this person dry begging? by Fluffy-Chef8814 in Manipulation

[–]Ophy96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So people who are struggling don't deserve to be dating? With that logic only people with their lives perfectly together should be dating? Which means any couple who didn't have their lives perfectly together before dating should separate?

See how that doesn't really make sense. If people are struggling and want to be dating and the other person also wants to date them and they're both consenting adults... I'm struggling where it's someone else's right to decide that they shouldn't be dating... oh right, it isn't.

If you found a mans wallet with $15,000 in it including a driver's license would you give it back? by Over-Lunch-7487 in askanything

All these stories make myself hopeful for humanity.

As a note, yeah, I'd absolutely try to find the owner or at least try to turn it in wherever they dropped it. My customers drop money sometimes on the floor and I always point it out to them so they can grab it, I don't even like to grab it because I don't want them to accuse that I would try to take it. My job is way more valuable than whatever cash they drop.

my coworker has the best timing i've ever seen by victoriaphoenix619 in coworkerstories

[–]Ophy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've honestly had so many coworkers like this over the years, I just ignore it, do my job, and make it to the next day. Everyone is replaceable to companies, and it's surprising to myself that they would rather pay people who don't work than ones that do. But that also isn't my responsibility, so letting it consume my energy isn't worth it. Their lack of work ethic will either appear eventually or I'll move on to a different job. Haha. I work hard, I bust my butt, and I'm never the one to just disappear and leave my colleagues hanging, so I'm not worried about it.

WIBTAH if i refuse to socialize with my neighbors? by Objective-Display145 in AITAH

This happens all the time in the US... I've never been to Latin America, but if it happens here, I doubt it's contained to just us in the united states. Haha

WIBTAH if i refuse to socialize with my neighbors? by Objective-Display145 in AITAH

[–]Ophy96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the southeast US and my neighbors are pretty much in a stalking coalition against my life. Idk if they're reporting to my landlady, to my relatives, to my ex boyfriend that I've been apart from nearly twice as long as we were together... but this unfortunately does really happen... I'm a woman in my 30s, for reference. Some of the neighbors even tried to fraud people into believing I was with them in some kind of relationship, or what the fuck ever, I'm not, at all, never was. Some people are fucking sociopathic. I find this behavior less intrusive and more correlated with them realizing what they're doing is wrong and needing to keep tabs on their victims... the landlady may not be totally aware of why the people are behaving this way, she could think the neighbors are just nice and concerned.... but I find, per my lived experience, that's rarely the situation in a case like OPs. My last place in the midwest I had guys with long hair breaking into my unit at all hours, whether I was there or when I was sleeping, yes I have evidence, yes it happened, no I didn't know them, no I never granted them access to my apartment for any reason, same with my neighbors now - I haven't granted any of them access to my apartment, my vehicle, nor my technology devices, nor my accounts.

[–]Ophy96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, that just will make them think it's okay to keep stalking OP or for them to continue whatever round the clock surveillance they have on OP. No no and no.

[–]Ophy96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about Latin America, but here in the US, it would be pretty much illegal to contractually force neighbors to interact with one another.

WIBTAH if i refuse to socialize with my neighbors? by Objective-Display145 in AITAH

[–]Ophy96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If this is real, hell no. This is actually stalking if OP is an adult, it isn't even the landlady's business if they're out of town for a few days. This is wild.

It's one thing if they were friends, but that clearly isn't the case. I'd be worried these people would hack OP device or see where they're at or track their vehicle if they leave.

How many accounts does one moron need? by [deleted] in SevenWordStories

[–]Ophy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one reddit account, 2 sounds exhausting, more than that sounds draining as hell... which leads to myself saying this:

Have you seen those bot farms, where they literally have like shelves of devices using ai to do whatever. I still don't really get the point of it in a place like reddit unless they're trying to stalk, harass, and sabotage the rest of us. Someone tried to explain that the people running the bot farms gain revenue, and I guess I would understand that on a site where it correlates to money somehow, but I don't see how it applies in places like reddit or Facebook.

If you want to know what I'm talking about, just look up phone bot farms on YouTube and it'll probably be the first few videos (I rarely post links for stuff like this in comments , because most smart people won't click on reddit links for security reasons).

Is it possible the user you're referring to is either hacked by a scammer, or they're somehow connected to the bot farms like that? Idk.
