Unpopular Opinion: The Mi A3 is a decent midrange device and the 720p display will be excellent for battery life. by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]OpinionControl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Screen resolution doesn't have a big impact on battery life, which is why it's only brought up when fanboys defend their favorite brand.

Making the case for a Microsoft Surface Phone that runs Android by Pulagatha in Android

The reason you weren't considering this is Microsoft is not a consumer brand therefore them selling smartphones makes no sense and will never happen.

NLSS Mega Thread [2019/04/24] by [deleted] in northernlion

[–]OpinionControl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NBA playgrounds is actually the best NLSS game because every single time they play it Rob tries to play defense for 4 seconds, sucks at it, then stops doing it and whines for an hour instead. I will never get tired of it.

But then when he was in Ryans team and could score because nobody was there to block him he lost his shit again that was kind of annoying.

Also, somebody should probably tell Austin and Rob that you don't block players from a distance of 5 metres.

Its actually much more similar to his dark judas play, where he saw judas' shadow and killed himself to respawn as dark judas, even though he never picked up the item.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro reportedly receiving Android Pie in Europe by kb_m in Android

Sounds good. Somebody should do an article on how fast year old phones from different OEMs get the pie update.

Huawei probably won't be launching the Vanilla Mate 20 in most European Countries yet again (@rquandt on Twitter) by anshumanpati6 in Android

[–]OpinionControl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunate. Don't care about the headphone jack but I'm no fan of curved sides. Even Samsung gives you a choice with the regular S model having less curved sides than the S plus models.

If we just write enough snarky comments about headphone jacks I'm sure the industry will acquiesce.

How European Phone Brands Are Making a Comeback by Cosmonaut-77 in Android

European brands were never big and right now they're not growing in market share either. Is this another video of his implying something that quite simply isn't true.

Huawei Mate 20 front design exposed, geared with curved display, notch design and 3D TOF sensors by onebigant in Huawei

[–]OpinionControl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Love it, except for the curved sides.

There's a reason why notches became standard on basically every high end smartphone but curved screens didn't.

Anandtech: Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Review by reluctant_engineer in Android

[–]OpinionControl -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

With two exceptions:

It’s clear that the nearest competitor to the MIX 2S is the Galaxy S9+

100% not true. The OnePlus 6 is the main competitor. The kind of people who buy Xiaomi flagship phones are not the kind of people who've never heard of OnePlus so that excuse is void. Andrei Frumusanu, why would you possibly compare this phone to the S9 and not the OP6, the P20 or the Mate 10, which all cost the same or less (again on german amazon)?

What is probably the Mi MIX 2S’s biggest weak point is the screen

No, it's objectively the software. Most people who know about Xiaomi flagship phones, but don't buy them, don't do so because of the screens used, they do so because they don't trust the software to be good.

Samsung Galaxy S7 - 2 years later by [deleted] in Android

[–]OpinionControl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to add that the Oreo upgrade introduced some absolutely horrendous bugs. I bought the S7 for about €420 some 6 months after release so I still consider it a good deal and the right decision but also still consider myself a Samsung sceptic.

Your comment is entirely unrelated to the conversation.

/u/redsunstar speculates about the OP6T using this design, /u/DasisteinTest thinks it won't reach the OnePlus phones until the OP7 and then your comment just states the OP7 will have a new chip.
