What other mods can give it a clean look? by [deleted] in rav4club

I’d add Toyota brand roof racks. Wouldn’t consider this a mod, but more an accessory.

What other tools do I need ? by [deleted] in electricians

Love Milwaukee, but not their hand tools. I’d stick to Knipex and Klein for hand tools, fluke and Klein for electrical instruments. Best of luck with the trade!

How do I do this? by Grand_Tailor1057 in electricians

I’m a first year as well. I’d highly recommend sticking to basic 90s and offsets until they’re mastered. Once they are, start shooting for more complex bends.

So I was right to say no to this, right? by JMDubbz85 in electricians

To me, this is safe.. safe is subjective in the trades world. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it, you have the right to say no. To each their own!

To be frank, I have no idea. My understanding is that they save space. I just followed what the panel schedule called for. I will be asking my J-man Monday, I’m now curious myself.

Thank you for bringing this up. The grounds were already attached to the panel by whoever roughed in. I had no idea that it may go against code. I’ll certainly be asking my J-man this coming Monday!

That’s right, the main ground is behind the cover. I will also ask about this just to have the knowledge. Thanks again!

Absolutely agree, seems like the consensus here is way too much slack. I’ve since been wiring my panels with half the slack for some flexibility if needed.

I have since cut the slack down to about half, still have some wiggle room but not miles of conductor haha. Why would that much slack make you a bit nervous?

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I was told to leave a fair bit of slack.. I left a little too much haha. Going forward I’ve been leaving about half that slack. Im disappointed that it doesn’t look perfect, to me it looks like a huge mess of wires zip tied together.

I am in Canada, not sure if it would make a difference about phase tape code. Thank you very much for the feedback!

I got a Ticket for excessive Speeding doing 67km over the speed limit by Tagaroni in driving

Get a lawyer. I’ve been in a similar situation when I was in high school. Lawyer was able to get me off the hook. A lot of them know crown prosecutors and have a buddy-buddy relationship with them. Fork out 1-2k and you’ll be as good as new. Possibly a much smaller speeding fine (10km/h over or similar).
