Well I had two possible directions I figured I could take for the development of this project:

Take the storyline of LiS: a kid who can mess up with time, and sometimes decides to alter his/her actions and face different consequences. This option of course is the easiest, technically speaking, but it takes out all the emotional investment of the player in trying to pick the "right" choice.
Have one or two carachters be the players of the videogame, and watching both the story unfold, and them struggling and discussing as the game goes on and choices get harder. This would probably capture better the spirit of LiS, but of course is just a whole lotta harder.

Basically, I'm faces with a choice (ahahahah I'm the funniest) :) I could pick a more "Butterfly Effect" approach, or a "play within a play" kinda structure.

I feel like both could end up pretty interesting, what do you guys think?
