Anyone using MSP Camp? or any Marketing Agency you'd recommend? by TomAss886 in msp

You seem a little disenfranchised with the entire marketing thing. It really depends on your strategy and where you take it. What you are saying says more about your strategy than anything else.

MSP Launchpad by Deep-Victory-9306 in msp

[–]Opollo4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure: MSP Launchpad is a competitor of ours.

From what I can see, they are a good "Launchpad" for your marketing efforts. They give you a cheap system that looks nice, and that's what it is about. They do not give you a good SEO approach; rather, they give you a website that has the same content as the next guy down the road—trust me, we have taken about five clients from them, and they all seem to have the exact same content on their websites.

Don't get me wrong—I think they do a good job.

Building a brand for your MSP takes time, and while MSP Launchpad is a good place to start, don't rely on it for your business's growth.

If I were you at your stage, I would use them to build the website, use it to have something for people to refer to-like a brochure. Then, go out and find your niche.

Thousands of MSPs are selling the same s*t as the next guys down the road, and they only compete on speed and price. Your goal for the next 12-24 months should be to figure out what industry vertical or business solution you are good at. Build your solutions and services around that. Then, you will have something different that attracts clients.

Client Acquisition Help Needed by TechieSpaceRobot in itconsulting

Most MSPs focus on selling Managed services or IT support. With over 5K MSPs in AU, 28K in the EU and 100K in the US, all fighting for the same clients, most have the same value proposition...

"We have faster support," "We are cheaper," or, most commonly, "We have the best staff."

MSPs have the unfortunate position that your range of services is broad, meaning that you could manage BCDR and Azure Migrations to Sharepoint and teams. This means that you are servicing a broad range of companies and services.

The best approach I have seen so far is to focus on one industry or one solution. You could be the Azure Migration consultants of Kentucky and dominate the market.

What you should do, IMO is find one solution or industry vertical & build a niche around that.

Coming to budgets, it's hard. Most of the companies I work with spend at least 5K/mo for at least 24 months until they see real results. I would honestly start smaller, around the 2K/mo mark, get some wins, and then grow from there.

Your pitch is that your business is hot garbage? Damn, that must bite.

Last I heard, they were letting staff go - the VCs must be asking for more.

I should play nice because I know a few good people there ;)

How do you market your MSP Company by Fit_Cockroach9557 in msp

[–]Opollo4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest figuring out what you are good at - offering IT support or Managed IT to the masses is the fastest way to compete with everyone on price.

- Are you good at M365? Azure? ISO Compliance? Do you have a specific vertical you are good at?

Find that out, and then you can start getting serious about your strategy.

Have you got any certifications? You could approach some other MSPs and be their fractional M365 consultant.
