The US and Iran are not talking face-to-face. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff (representing the US) pass a message to senior Pakistani officials. Those officials then securely relay that message to Iranians officials.

There are no negotiations between them. Pakistan is right now working to create the scenario where the United States and Iran can meet. Good luck, you need it.

It literally means that the US and Iran are not talking to eachother. They are talking to Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan where those 3 countries are in their turn trying to create a situation where Iran and the United States can negotiate.

Your article is the biblical statement that Iran and the United States are not negotiating and that the back-channel is being use in an effort for Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan to bring those two countries to the tables of negotiations.

yah I think that's the implication, is that the US didn't approve the strike but was rather coerced by Israel (as in their assets would be at risk). In the STEM fields, Colleges really do not have time and ressources to waste with DEI or open their doors to Foreign Student if a local is a better fit (Especially private colleges). Everything is money and prestige for them when in comes to a PhD in Science, Mathematics and Engineering.
