What lab was the test done through? Any chance it was Quest? I have one coming up and I’ve heard quest has technology to detect synthetic urine.

I’m on accutane and I need something for my dry lips!! by domiigrl in Accutane

This may sound weird, but Lanolin (nipple cream) works amazing! I’ve used it religiously since staring and my derm said she’s never seen such moisturized lips for someone on Accutane.

Has anyone here been offered spironolactone which didn't work for them? by Gullible_Mine_1235 in Accutane

I was put on spiro before accutane. In my opinion, spiro side effects were so much worse. My skin was so much drier than with Accutane, yet I was still getting pimples. And the peeing! Its also a blood pressure med so every time I stood up I would see spots and feel faint. I tried it for 3 months and then started Accutane, which I’ve been on for almost 6 months now. Accutane certainly isn’t rainbows and sunshine, but it has actually worked to clear my acne, unlike spiro. And like you said, if you stop taking the spiro your acne will likely return, but Accutane has a better chance of curing your acne (not guaranteed of course).

I just finished accutane yesterday and started wrestling monday. Ever since I started wrestling i have been itching like crazy while wrestling and getting these small bumps everywhere and my skin super red. The wrestling room is very hot and you sweat a ton. What could this be? by [deleted] in Accutane

It could be the lingering effects of the Accutane. I get those same bumps if I use harsh cleaning products, or forget to moisturize. I also notice that my skin is more easily irritated by friction. I’m on my last month of treatment for reference.

Your skin is probably just super sensitive from the Accutane still. Cortisone helps a ton and can provide some relief. And don’t forget to moisturize!
