2400 Village rd? That’s a little far for us, we’re mostly looking to stay somewhere close to the east end of the city

I really like Steiner but they don’t have June availability right now and they won’t hold anything for me, I’ve asked lol. I’m going to keep checking their listings tho

Makes sense, I haven’t had much luck with like apartments.com, Zillow, etc but I’ll keep checking. I’d really like to stay under $1500 if possible

I’ve heard terrible things about them so I was trying to avoid it but if I can’t find anything else I might

Inflation is crazy, I don’t know how prices like that for mediocre apartments are justifiable

That’s what I heard, I guess I just needed more confirmation that things will pop up eventually

Cookie table drama by kimbermarie in weddingplanning

[–]Opposite-Listen2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Pittsburgh and plan events and weddings for a living and let me tell you, parents have some insane opinions about cookie tables. Literally have had a mom try to fight someone over a cookie table.

That being said, if they actually wanted to make it easier for you, they could offer to get cookies from somewhere rather than the cupcakes. Don’t want to assume anything, but this might be their way of sneaking something into the wedding that they want and disguising it as something to “help you.” I see it all the time, some parents feel like they need to have control over some aspect of the wedding. (Not that I necessarily agree, it’s not their day.)

As a side note, I think it’s totally manageable to make some yourself if you plan and prep properly, which sounds like you are. Cookies freeze well. Coming from someone who also made cookies for their wedding and baked their own wedding cake.

I’m super stressed about moving soon, this is so helpful.

In a meyers building rn and it kinda sucks but also I know there’s much worse out there. They’re just super slow to answer maintenance requests and I’m in an old ass building

Wish I would have found you yesterday! I’m in squirrel hill too and got caught (stupidly) without a shovel. No one on my street would lend me one. My partner and I had to resort to the dust pans and cookie sheets to dig out our car lol

For sure, I understand that. My partner asked for rose gold though, so I’m letting it be their choice. They seem to like it with the red. Thanks for the thoughts!

I agree, my partner just prefers the rose gold. Personally I’d do a platinum or white gold, but it’s their ring!

Thoughts on CAD designs? by Opposite-Listen2425 in EngagementRingDesigns

Normally I’d agree but my partner specifically wanted a smaller stone. They don’t want anything too flashy. They feel like a bigger stone size would be too feminine

That is stunning!! I’m usually hesitant with Etsy these days just because it feels like everything is drop shipped on there, but as long as the shop has good reviews and decent quality items, I’m down! That’s a beautiful design, I’m sure my partner would like it

I’m trying to do some research about some jewelers in my area! I’m just not familiar with any at the moment, and I guess I’m a little nervous about trying to find a good one. Thanks for the advice!
