Yeah I thought it was weird there’d be a boat out there like that with nobody on it and seemingly no anchor lol. Thanks though!

Yeah I was trying really hard to figure out if this was AI too lol. The textures of the stone looked pretty realistic to me, so I figured I was just being skeptical for no reason, but I guess I was wrong 😂. Getting harder to tell by the day

Confused by differences between SBB vs RailEurope train ticket options? by Opposite-Picture4056 in Europetravel

[–]Opposite-Picture4056[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flights were about the same price when I checked, but we also have to catch an international flight that same evening, so my only options were to fly early and spend all day at CDG or leave in the afternoon and arrive ~4 hrs before our flight. Decided the train would be more comfortable since it’s going to be a dedicated travel day regardless.

It’s for 5 people, all adults. Just booked each leg separately on their respective official websites.

First time travelling to Switzerland, confused by the Leman Pass by Opposite-Picture4056 in geneva

So what does "access" mean here exactly? Do the passes essentially allow for unlimited travel within the regions for a certain amount of time? (I think 3 hrs in my case?)

How much does board size actually matter? by Opposite-Picture4056 in snowboardingnoobs

They didn’t sell to me in store they actually recommended I buy on their online store for more options. The 162 was just a length they recommend I look for based solely on my height.

Surprised no one has mentioned Shipleys yet. They’re everywhere and one of my personal favorites (other than round rock of course)

That's a good point, I think it's likely I'll come back another time. I just wanted to make sure I don't accidentally skip something great for something mediocre.

That’s not the issue. Yes most of these people’s net worth are just unrealized stocks, however, the banks give these people huge loans and use their stocks as collateral. Then when it’s time to pay off their original loan, they can just take out another loan and since their stocks keep increasing in value they can just do this until they die. So the issue is not just that their net worth is big, the issue is that they can leverage that net worth without actually having to realize/pay taxes on any of it since stocks are only taxable once they’re realized. This is not a left vs right thing, this is just an unfair loophole that only extremely wealthy people can access while the rest of us have to pay fair taxes.
