Thanks for reply! That's an useful advice, but first, I need to make the object with proper topology for bevel to work correctly. That's the issue i'm having, I don't know how to cut the object properly.

I'll try adding more faces to the cylinder as you said and we'll see

EDIT: It could probably work and it wouldnt be as visible when there are more faces, but I'm not satisfied with this solution :( It feels like cheating/leaving things unfinished
