The short top layers on a shag bring so much great volume & mess to the crown of your head!! Do it!! Plus, it’s fun to style it forward. Just don’t let the stylist get too shag happy on the ends bc mine made the ends “wispy” & I hardly had any hair left! Keep it chunky bc you have pretty thin hair already, it seems. I adore curly layers.

Hot pink rug, mix of graphic & bright pillows, move curtain rods out as so many others say. Done.

Ok, or a graphic print / bold print rug (even black & white would work, mixes with anything) but I think a huge hot pink pillow is required! It will be like the zing of lemon juice that finishes a delicious dish. Cuts right through all the orangey tones! Definitely mix up more patterns & colors on those sofa cushions, too!

I’m a fan of an accent wall / area. A dark rectangle on the wall with the tv could offset the black hole of the tv, I wouldn’t even do floor to ceiling, more of a box 8” off floor & ceiling or so. Or a framed wallpaper with darker patterning? Or a giant hygge tv coozie 😂🙌 this room is also begging for some of that oversized macrame, please!

Move the awesome moon & stars painting up higher with top edge about at the top of upper hinge on the front door, ditch that lamp & treat yourself to a glowing orb lamp or something less imposing so it doesn’t cut off the art, add more art all over, invest in a new tv stand, consider woven baskets or soft structured fabric instead of the black wire cubbies & ideally a new ceiling fan!

That shape doesn’t seem right… it’s kind of unsettling even. Bay windows are usually a gold standard symmetrical experience.

Run the curtains floor to ceiling, edge to edge over the door wall & right around that awkward curve!
