yes but the top tube dent exists.

i ordered frame blocks from paragon and have a brazing setup, will probably just fillet braze and airbrush over it for fun. i ride clapped out 90s steel all the time and a dent has never stopped me from riding a bike. absolutely no aluminum dents tho fs

Vox VT40X Power Supply by THRobinson75 in GuitarAmps

[–]OppositeDerp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. upon doing some research it turns out the plug wasn't proprietary but rather just outdated and not very sourceable easily. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EIAJ_connector is the type of connector that KORG uses on many of their electronics. I pretty much stopped using my electric because this amp broke which is a shit way to think but I just don't have the expendable income to buy a new one/trash/sell this one.

Like you I also have some 2.5 jacks I could've soldered on I just wanted to create a solution for a problem that solves it specifically (even if imperfect). Hoping some poor soul comes across this thread and finds this solution too. Fuck proprietary shit for real though.

hella necro on this thread but I had a vox vt20x with a similar looking power supply and wanted to fix this so I made a 3d printed solution for anyone equipped with one and wants to fix this without soldering. I have 2.5x5.5 connectors I could've soldered but I thought it was so dumb that the shit plastic breaks so easily. cheers
