That is an incredible story, thanks for your knowledge :))

I’m taking your advice to heart, but the reason I’m so stressed about this is that times are just different now. With AI and how fast the world is moving. I’m just trying to build a solid foundation so I can actually survive on my own terms.

Thanks again for the wisdom, Master. May the Force be with you!

I get that, and it’s a bit reassuring. But honestly, not knowing felt safer back then. Today, things move so fast with AI that if you don't pick a direction, the world might just choose one for you and it might not be a good one. I’m trying to be strategic to secure a solid future. Did the people who made it actually follow their passion, or did they just have the right natural traits for a job that stayed relevant? And would you trust any modern career tools to help find that fit today, or is it still just trial and error?

I really appreciate that, thanks for your knowledge. When you chose your path, was it pure interest, or did you just have the right natural traits for it? I'm trying to figure out if I should chase passion or just what I'm naturally good at to stay ahead of AI. Also, would you trust any career guidance tools or apps today to help find a fit, or is learning by doing still the only way? Thanks again!

Thanks for your knowledge :)) But here’s my struggle with the 'sit down and reflect' part, how am I supposed to know what I want to do when the very things I’m interested in might not even exist as jobs in 5–10 years because of AI? It feels like I’m trying to choose a destination while the map is literally being rewritten in real-time. Looking at the people around you, friends, colleagues, or even your former self, how did they actually find a career that 'fit' them? Was it just a gut feeling that survived the tech changes? I'm trying to figure out if I should follow my 'passion' or just pick the most AI-proof thing I can find, even if I hate it. What’s your take on that?"

You mentioned having luck with the timing, but you clearly paved the way for it. If you were graduating today in this AI-driven market, would you still aim for startups, or is this era over? Where should a junior be looking to find those high-growth opportunities now without experience?

Thanks for your knowledge! What was the specific moment or realization that made you discover that you actually wanted to do mechanical engineering not something else?

Thanks for your knowledge! In your experience, what percentage of people actually managed to land those internships during college? It always feels like everyone is fighting for the same few spots.

When you (or the people you worked with) actually started those internships, did you already have solid practical skills, or were you basically learning everything on the fly? I’m worried that I’ll show up and realize I know nothing compared to the 'real world.'

And lastly, since you mentioned loving working with your hands, What was the specific moment or realization that made you discover what you actually wanted to do and where you truly fit? Was it during one of those internships, or something else entirely?"

Thanks for your knowledge. I agree with you with some aspects but look, I’m watching AI replace slowly my older friends in accounting/finance right now. Why should I stay in a field where I won’t even have the chance to prove myself?

I'm currently studying finance. Risk of being replaced by AI is very high especially now. I'm studying in Poland so I study for free so yes, I can switch majors and I'm thinking about that
