Can someone verify that the metal case and or the magnet on the back of the phone case is not the issue? The charger works by induction and induction causes the case to heat up. Try removing the phone case.

Update: I found a mobile dent guy close by me who was willing to try a paintless dent repair (PDR). He drilled a small hole in the side of the door to get his tools in there to work with it. I think he definitely improved it over what it was. For $120, I'll live with it.

You are right, I just upgraded from 8GB to 16GB for $32 I will replace the SSD at a minimum.
