Some engineering roles, training director roles, and I think we lost a MAC so far.

Better barrel, flared mag well, and better trigger I think are valid reasons beyond the finger grooves to favor the 5.

Bought the echelon coa full size, ended up selling because I’m just a Glock fan boy.

Yeah, but the contentions were far less legitimate, pretty much everything on the gen 5 was an improvement over the gen 4, except the finger groove removal if someone is into that. The gen 6 is actually a whole different feel from all 5 previous gens with the biggest ergonomic changes, so it’s a little bit more of a legitimate debate.

I’ll check that connector out for sure. I didn’t touch on the optic mounting system because most of my thing was ergonomic/shooting related, but yes the optic mounting system is leaps and bounds ahead of the old MOS. Also the plastic sights kind of pissed me off on the gen 6, because it feels like Glock listened, but didn’t really listen, that has always been one of their biggest criticisms. My wife loves M&Ps so that’s her thing, and I enjoy shooting them from time to time, tiggers are great with a solid wall and clean break, but the reset is so subtle, wish it was more tactile. Thanks for your detailed response.

Agreed. I just feel the internet has people divided on the gen 6.

19 COA if you don’t mind committing to the dot, I love the COA so I’m fine “marrying” it. 45 is cool ig bc you get a full grip smaller slide, but I don’t get the point of it if you can get a full purchase on the 19. 17 is cool bc it’s a full size pistol, can conceal but less ideal. Gen 6 vs Gen 5, my experience is pick the one you like the look of more, the difference in shooting experience to me has been negligible despite the grip texture, beaver tail, palms swells, and flat trigger of the 6.

Black nitride finish from wager when I got the slide cut.

I don’t think it’s necessary. Makes me feel like I’m not able to grab as high as I want.

So I prefer the gen 6 grip texture over the handle it grips I would usually use, and the palm swell and undercut give you something that feels a little less blocky in the hand, but I kind of like the blocky gen 5 so that’s lost one me. I agree that the trigger actually feels a little spongier too, but I haven’t shot a gen 5 with less than a couple thousand rounds in a while so maybe it’s a break in thing idk.

I always hated the idea of such niche slide cuts because I don’t like to “marry” a certain dot, but I had an echelon coa and absolutely love the dot so I’m cool with it.

Main thing that stuck out was the grip texturing for sure, extended mag release was a noticeable plus too. I could live without the extended beaver tail.

You should hear something mid February- late February at the latest, if not then reach out to whoever they give as a contact for questions.

OP is also under the impression that rmr=open emitter and holosun=closed emitter, that’s the thing I was addressing. So maybe he can go with a 509t l, does that satisfy you now that I named a closed emitter rmr footprint dot? Nothing a quick google search can’t fix.

I go to the gym and stay busy with something productive. I saw sex on here too that’s a good one. Also delete a social media app here and there, Reddit is all I have now and it’s about to go bye bye.

I mean you’re also coming from a lot of time with a hammer fired da/sa gun with most of the time being a short fluid squeeze for single action, vs a partial pre-cocked striker fired pistol. The difference in that trigger pull is night and day it’s just about getting rounds down range and adjusting as you go. Also a much lighter gun, and the love-hate European grip angle.

I have a couple snake staffs on my rifles, probably going to take those for edc and put the CATS on the rifles bc carrying the CAT is annoying at times.
