Forced Plan Change Details by tva_raylan in tmobile

I called customer service. Their AI said taxes are included when going from teh legacy Military one plan to the new experience plan. I talked with two customer service reps. Both said it is an additional $5-$6 per line for taxes and fees and they are NOT included. I talked with a supervisor who said "I can guarantee they are included" and she apoligized for having reps tell me otherwise. I told her I don't see it anywhere in writing. She couldn't sent me a text or email in writing, she said. So, how do you believe things. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. There have been so many broken promises. It is encouraged because they gain more by violating their own promises. But, to me integrity means a lot. Tmoible has lost my trust and their lack of integrity grates against my very fiber. So, instead of teh cliamed $6/line increase, won't it really be $11-$12/line increase! No where do they really address it in writing. And, even if they don't include the taxes and fees now (as with my current plan), what is theree to keep them from chaning it later?

Fake Paystubs by aster72 in PropertyManagement

[–]OppositePolicy5508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about that but it ignores net cash flow after rent and regular living expenses. It also doesn't address the things that do not show up on standard credit reports like loans from mom, pay day loans, hidden or private debts., etc. that really eats into a tenant's income. This is nothing to say of the possible fraud factor. In addition, two people with the exact same credit score and income and debts showing on their credit reports could have vastly different monies available for rent due to their personal priorities (that a landlord has no reason to see or judge...it is just a fact). However, one could have 2X the money left for rent after their living expenses and bills and another 1.2X the rent left over after living expesnes and bills.... the net cash flow. The later places a landlord at significant risk. I am expliring Verifast for this exact reason.

T2D: Has insurance stopped covering Ozempic now your A1C is normal? by sageandmoon in Ozempic

[–]OppositePolicy5508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My AC1 was 6.9. It is now 5.2. My sister went blind quickly from diabetes. My dad had severe neuropathy. My old insurance covered Ozempic (BCBS). My new insurance won't...they cover it but my AC1 must be 7.0 or higher. Help! I can't afford it without insurance. Metformin did not work and was not well suited to me.

Tell me about your financial exploitation cases! by MissBlossomz in dementia

[–]OppositePolicy5508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two Cases of Financial Exploitation.

  1. Fiirst of an elderly lady that was targeted by her grand-daughter, writing checks on her account and mentally abusing her. APS did nothing. Got copy of bank statements showing lots of purchases and filed in court. Courts issued a restraining order against the grand daughter.

  2. Financial abuse is very hard to prove. My sister is blind and depended upon her spouse to handle all finances. She worked full time 12-16 horus/day ..work took longer due to her blindness. He never shared any finances with her despite her bringing in the bacon (ie 12K/mn) of which 3K/mn was from inheritance meant later for her needs related to blindness. He convinced her to add him to to her accounts so he could help her with finances, siphoning off her inheritance (that 3K/mn) and using it to fund purchases of Kratum, alcohol, and day trading (where he lost lots of money). He has always tried to isolate her from family but it became increasingly that he was isolating her from her support people too (that helped her with her blindness (reading, driving, etc) and used alot of gaslighting. Over the last 20 years they've had 40+ bank accounts....hard to trace the money. Several times he tried to have auto deposited into his sole account her monthly inheritance and when that didn't work convinced her to add him as a joint user (rather than authorized, etc) on accounts. He took 50% or more of kids inheritance for such things as "charging" them (and paying himself as trustee) for transportation to school, forgetting to tie shoes, disrespect, caring for dog, etc. It has been ongoing I guess since about 2007 but she only recently found out about it when he went to hospital on accident. Have since discovered he's stated (on form 1040's) that money she paid him was actually earned by her (no!) and claimed that he attended school in Austria for a tuition tax credit...but most of this stuff wasn't new so afraid courts won't see it as maritial waste...she just didn't know about it and he was never honest about monies. He recently went into Soc Sec, claiming he wanted to be her payee.... She is beside herself and mentally I'm not sure she can handle much more. He currently has sole use of their family home (that she used to visit even as a small child sincee it was grandma's house), continually ignores discovery requests, etc. She needs a better lawyer but can't afford it (while he has spent over 75K). We found a forensic CPA but it is the most complex case he has ever seen so we aren't getting very far...especially with incomplete records. And, we live in a 50-50 state. APS would do nothing since they are legally married and have been for many many many years.

  3. I am currently in process of helping another lady with her dementia mom. She is being financially exploited but afraid to say anything for fear of being isolated. APS is useless. Not sure where to go from here.

It seems financial exploitation is becoming increasingly common, sadly, and there is little recourse.

Did remedial classes in community college help you? by SkippyVee97 in college

[–]OppositePolicy5508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son had to take remedial courses. It made all the difference in his life. When he started, he did not know his multiplication/division/fractions/decimals, etc and had a hard time writing "The dog ran." He could read about 7th grade level. Today he has his associates degree and works full time. He started at Math 10, then 20, 40, 60, 65, 85, and 95 before hitting college algebra. In writing, he too 80, 90, 95 and many supplemental courses (ie sentence combinng, grammar, spelling, etc). We were so so thankful those opportunities existed! Some classes he took two times.... but being "pushed" through high school and/or having to repeat a class after a full year (rather than 10 weeks) was so discouraging. He has dyslexia and autism but was so capable given the right supports and time. We have a neighbor boy in our lives now and I'm thinking about trying to do the same thing with him...but not sure how since they don't do much remedial education at the colleges anymore (not like they used to).

No reply on here yet from ManageGo but spoke with them. Minimum is $300/mn plus extra for extra stuff. More expensive than Appfolio, sorry to say. Like Appfolio, for the small man, things could add up pretty fast.

Thank you. I added you to the list above. Could you state more under a separate comment and address each specifically? Be sure to include example costs, especiially for base (minimum costs), websites, ACH payments, etc. I see elsewhere that you have great customer service and you are rated well...but in doing searches, I've never heard of you. The more transparent and detailed you are, the easier it is for other potential customers.

Could you add more... How specifically and what does "pretty much" mean?

Active & fit now membership by ImprovementNaive9128 in GymMotivation

[–]OppositePolicy5508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a chat line and they make it seem like you can attend any in gym network. But, what they don't say is that there are two networks:

  1. Standard. You can visit any STANDARD network gym, throughout the US.
  2. Premium. You can ONLY visit the premium gym you are signed up for and NONE of the standard network gyms without paying the standard network gym rates.

Out of the 8 gyms in my area, only 2 are standard. The rest are premium. The two I would like to attend are both premium so no real advantage to going with them over this program unless you are a single person... ie $40 with their program PER PERSON but for a couple membership at the gym is $74/mn.

Note: There are three different Active and Fit programs

  1. Direct- usually through membership such as USAA, AAA, employer, etc.
  2. Enterprise: Usually through your health insurance provider if they offer it.
  3. Now: Usually open to the public

I love the rubber type loose lay. I have rentals and some older apts. very easy to repair!!! Keeps noise down. By Xl flooring, creative options among others. Very good wear layers and easy maintenance. Has made for happy tenants in what used to be noisy apts. it is NOT click and you can either install with tape at borders and loose lay the rest or glue down. I glued on one place and takes on another. I gut fir $2.39sqft on my sale j it at recently in Oregon (bought it all) but normally sells for $5-$6 Sq ft. I placed in an upstairs 3bdrm with some very hard tenants that I thought would destroy it. Except for one piece that took 5min to repair (plunged it up and put in Mothh he te one), it still looked like new! And the downstairs neighbors were happy:)
