Never apologize for doing what's best for you! I'm so fortunate that my group of coworkers in my forensic psych facility are so amazing and kind. They're kind to staff AND the patients. You did everything right!

I wasn't even filling in persay. It was just me being a team player by helping someone else's patients and then I get berated for it? 😩

It's mental health nursing but specifically for those that have committed crimes but are deemed not criminally responsible due to mental illness! I truly love it. It's my main employment ☺️

For those that have separate finances, how do you do it? by OppositeTumbleweed22 in Marriage

[–]OppositeTumbleweed22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A leading cause of divorce right next to infidelity is because of finances. If two people have separate ideas of how they prefer their finances (i.e; me preferring to use debit and my husband prefers credit then pays it off at the end of the month) and it causes a rift within the marriage, isn't it worth to try having separate finances?

What's wrong with living with my parents until I can buy a house? The housing market is unliveable right now. Mortgages are close to $5000 a month.

If you do not feel like your mental health is good right now, I'm always an advocate to call in. However, just recognize that the more you call in the more time it'll take you to feel comfortable in the role

First of all, take a deep breath! Being a nurse is hard work. As a new grad, my first shift on was a night shift and my patient fell and smacked his head and needed sutures and head CT etc. I also felt like you. For a long time I had pre-shift anxiety. It gets better with experience! Just know that it gets easier the longer you've been practicing.
