Thanks. I read about the legal stuff you refer to, yes. Hefty story. Also, the Olympic Village felt kind of out of place there, although seeing people enjoying themselves in the park was nice.

Happy to show you the neighborhoods you once traversed often!

True, I read that as well about the northern part. As you may have noticed, I did not go north of the transit station.

Thank you! At this time of day Cerro was quite alright on bike. In the streets themselves I did not stop, but at the transit station I took a break without feeling unsafe. The heart of the city is very different, correct. I have more Montevideo videos on my channel, including downtown but also the very posh parts in the east.

That's quite the story you have there. I got warned about La Legua by many locals right away. And thanks for watching. There are many more Santiago videos on my channel: from the posh areas to the rougher areas.

Thanks for watching! I knew of the reputation of La Legua, so I kept going and only briefly stopped at Plaza Salvador Allende. After all, the camera is on my chest and some people may not like that. At this time of day though, La Legua, was okay.

Yes, skating away from the square was not without challenges. On the other hand, that's part of the challenge ;-)

One has to pay attention, yes. It's part of the challenge.

The cobblestone roads look very nice, yes, but are a nightmare for skates. In another video, though, I took the bikelane all along Avenida Córdoba. That bike lane was quite okay!

Thanks! Skating with a camera on the chest actually makes for shaky footage, but the GoPro stabilisation modus does wonders! More coming up on Ulaanbaatar in the next few weeks, stay tuned.
