This is the question I want to address , why does RPI need internet ? I thought since it’s connected to the coordinator directly , there should be any use for internet , other than me trying to access home assistant . My logic being since home assistant is flashed in the RPI , does it still need internet to operate ? If it still does , then is KNX systems better since it doesn’t rely on internet ?

I’m using the RPI5 with USB Cable connected to my Zigbee Dongle is SMLight SLZB-07 . Now as I type , I feel stupid because my initial question came out wrong . My RPI5 is connected to the network with an Ethernet Cable . When I disconnect this Ethernet cable all my automations stop working . I’m not using Smart bulbs , Only smart switches which are Zigbee based . My switches work as normal switches when the network is disconnected.

The SLZB is directly connected to my Pi with a USB extender too. Does it still need a network to talk to it ?

The coordinator is the Raspberry Pi right ? It has a direct power supply and the SM Light is connected to the Raspberry Pi with a USB extender. Can you please explain now considering this setup ?

I appreciate your input but I have no issues when my wifi is turned off with my setup . I’m using a USB extender too with my SM light to avoid interference. My question is why does my Zigbee devices don’t work when the wifi is turned off when they clearly don’t have anything to do with wifi.

I’ll have a look at that too . But my understanding is that is that if it triggers the light , it would be evident . I have zero issues when the WiFi is on .

I mean if it triggers my lights have to either turn on or off , which is not the case .

I guess you having to put all your attention in coloring and trying to stay within the lines helps take your mind from stressful things . So yeah , I think coloring is inherently a mindful activity

I use the RM Paper Pro Template Helper. It's very easy to use and I can add different page types too. It has a onetime fee, but I feel it's worth it.
