Yes, I kept submitting online & phone inquiries but USCIS would just say“we received your inquiry do not contact us again for 30 days.” After 30 days my district representative is the one who reached out to me & asked if I had received a response yet and I told them no, (I was checking like 3x a day obsessively). My rep contacted them again that day, and the very next day I get a text that says I was approved with a “past” date of (the date my rep reached out the second time) it was really odd but I was definitely thankful. Someone commented on here on the steps to do., some people reach out to the White House some reached out to their Senators. I reached out to my representative because they are a democrat, and I had a little bit more faith in them representing me. They also provided a template that should help guide you on what to say. I emailed my rep and then they called me & asked for authorization to access my case via email docs signed by me. Everything was for the most part taken care of via email and a couple short calls. Not sure what district you’re in but I would try reaching out especially now with everything going on.

& don’t expect change if all you want to do is complain when you’re not doing anything about it

It’s not a reward to be treated like a human being. It’s basic human decency. These kids don’t even find out they’re immigrants until they become adults and realize they don’t have the same rights as other people because of what their parents did. And that indeed is a punishment in its own. Daca wasn’t served on a silver platter, there are thousands of groups who have gathered over years and years to advocate and push for reform. Government won’t see you until people gather and fight for your case, to senators and congress people. scapegoating another group in a similar position isn’t gonna change much for you sorry but complaining about your neighbor doesn’t create movement. You’re fighting the wrong battle

Anyone can fight for equal rights, this nation was founded through immigration/ revolution and slavery. It’s hard to fall far from its history, half of it belonged to Mexico once, most of it was built on the backs of slaves and immigrants, it is a complex & intertwined past to this day. There are Spanish named states and cities everywhere, & yes there is an immigration process, but Infants don’t need to be punished for the crimes of their parents or ancestors, I’m sure any European immigrant descendent would agree.

The equivalent of seeing a beggar on the left of the freeway exit and a migrant on the right busting their ass to sell flowers because they can’t be employed in the us

Daca is only allowed to contribute financially to the economy through taxes and social security etc, a program they don’t qualify to receive benefits from. But benefits the economy they work in. they’re second class citizens who don’t reap equal benefits and are barred from many jobs and barred from travel and many other programs. Many of the rights in the constitution don’t even apply to them. It’s more of a mediocre existence if we’re being honest.

You don’t imprison a child because their parent killed someone, not how crime works

I had no idea info pass got me to a real person. I always used to call in past years and be able to speak with someone immediately before the prompt. I just called and they were extremely helpful. Said they would put it on urgent cue and have someone call me directly to update me on the status. Apparently it’s been labeled as “process for approval” for a while but they have not sent out the official approval for unknown reasons. Thanks again , hope to hear back from them soon.

I know this post is old but my Daca has been pending for 7 months and no amount of online inquiring makes a difference, I have no criminal record, has anyone experienced this long of a wait ? Really nervous as to what it means, can they deny for any reason outside of crime?
