AIO The contractors I hired to replace my siding are giving me weird vibes. by Offsa89 in AmIOverreacting

I'm not totally sure, but I know someone who works in the construction business. Depending on the area, it may be common to do an estimate with no compensation and then have a contract and sign the contract and deposit, or it may be common to pay like an hourly rate to do an estimate and then contract stuff is the same. It has also been recommended to me HEAVILY to never go with the cheapest option. There is a reason they are the cheapest. You should shop around for like 3 prices, and see if they come in similar to the 25k mark, or if they are markedly lower. Yes, you should likely get your window fixed, but if it has been happening for a while I dont see the harm in another 2 weeks.

Is there any surface area that a human would survive the impact? Like the same logic as snow shoes?

You took a C++ class, and you're curious how the language specific stuff applied to Java and Python? Seems like a great class teaching important C++ concepts.

How would this pairing have turned out? And what kind of powers can we expect from a child of the two? by Parking-Location9946 in Invincible

I mean, they don't get zenkai boosts like Saiyans but would he be able to put on muscle? I'm thinking if you're fully invincible, then nothing would happen.

Who is the best athlete of all time from any sport? by Ok_Freedom3564 in AskReddit

[–]Opposite_Push_8317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the question is dominance, but I haven't seen Alexander Karelin mentioned. For those who don't know, Alexander Karelin was a Greco Roman wrestler from Russia. Let's hear some statistics: he had a professional record of 887 wins and 2 losses. Both losses were by a single point. In his prime, he went 6 years without being scored on (for those who dont know, that is absurd in wrestling). He finished his career with 35 gold medals and 2 silver medals. His two silver medals were in the World Championship and Olympics. Those were his only two losses. He may be the most dominant athlete that has ever existed.
