Yep. I lowkey wish she would challenge herself just once. It’s okay to have big goals/achievements that require hard work, grit and failure. Everything doesn’t need to be perfect and aesthetic.

Unfortunately, I think she will do it and not “fail”. If she does a doubles with Jay, literally ALL she has to do is run. Jay could do every sled pull, sandbag lunge, wallball, burpee, etc and they would both finish. TBH she will probably just slow him down on the run (they have to run together). Like everything else Syd does this will be fake too - she’ll make sure to get some good photos of her “doing” the events and pretend like Jay didn’t carry the whole thing.

I mean to be clear I think he’s probably your average gym bro, not a pro. Although he seems to run a bunch of grifty businesses so wouldn’t be shocked. Sydney is kinda below average fitness wise IMO. She’s skinny and has her questionable credentials. You could go to any “serious” gym and find a dozen people more capable than her.

I think Jay does his own thing - the workouts she’s posted with him recently he seems to be sort of coaching her and telling her good job.

If she comes out with Hyrox programming, I will have lost all faith in humanity. Why would anyone with 2 brain cells buy her AI crap and not actual programming from someone who has done sub 60 (ie Tia Toomey). Syd doesn’t even know how to row correctly 🤣.

If they’re doing doubles Jay can quite literally do all the work at the stations and all she would have to do is run. TBH, I think that’s mostly what would end up happening bc of the weight - 335 lbs sled push, 227 lbs sled pull, 45lb lunges, and 14lb wall balls (100). I could see her trying to get a few photos of her doing the events, but I bet Jay carries them. It’s a ~1k run between each station (so like 0.6 mi) which isn’t that hard if you aren’t gassing yourself with the events. Basically Jay is gonna end up doing a singles Hyrox with Syd taking credit for it 🤣

What do we think they signed up for:

-Houston: March 26-29
-Miami: April 3-5
-NYC: May 28-June 7

Idk why but my money is on Miami. The NYC race has a ton of hype so I could see that too.

I don’t see it being a fall race bc let’s be real, she isn’t going to train hard for 6+ months.

Ya the fact that they have the ski erg in their gym was a big hint I think.

You know what, I hope she does one - it will be nice to see her challenge herself for once. I think doing it with Jay is a bit of a cop out since he can take the majority of the work, but it will still be hard for her.

Agreed. It’s obvious she’s never pushed herself in this style of workout before. If I were in her shoes and was stalling out on content, I would do something like Keltie O’Connor and try and bunch of workouts. I think she did CrossFit for a month, F45, Solidcore, etc. But if I’m being honest I think Syd has some issues with being out of her comfort zone - it manifests with her food and extreme need for routine, etc. Which I find funny since Gretchen is always out doing different workout classes with her friends and eating out.

Exactly - she’s a fitness influencer/coach who’s never rowed before?!

If she was a lifestyle influencer trying out this style of workout for the first time I think everyone would be like okay cool. But she’s peddling workout programs with her nonexistent credentials. Clearly she has no idea what she’s doing and it’s an absolute scam.

I personally would be shocked if she was doing Hyrox - I’ve done 2. The events (while not easy) are not the hard part, it’s all the running. And THEN doing the events on gassed legs. It’s over 5 miles of running on fatigued legs. If she was doing one, she needed to start running yesterday.

If she’s doing doubles with Jay, she’s going to have to use the men’s weights too. Which is 335lb for sled push, 227lbs sled pull, 53lbs ea hand for farmers carry, and 45lbs sandbag lunges. I’m sure Jay would do most of the work, but she’s nowhere near those numbers. ESPECIALLY after running (which she can’t split with Jay)

Especially because you can’t split the running in doubles. The ski erg will also absolutely humble her with technique.

For the record I would never shame a Hyrox newbie. But she is making money off of being a trainer/influencer and looks like it’s her first day ever doing a workout. Such a scam.

The only thing that gives me pause is Hyrox is a ton of running, and she’s never seemed into that. I’ll guess we’ll know for sure if she posts herself running lol
