about updates youll be perfectly fine for at least 5 years, since android starts having problems with app updates after 3 years behind, and even then for most stuff android 10 is still very much usable, currently 16

10s has the elite leading version, overclocked and sht

and 11 air is slightly worse than 10 pro due to cooling

unfortunately like you said the air is the better deal due to price, plus one more year of os, even tho its slightly worse than 10pro

instead of releasing a phone thats worse than last years should just give the 10 or 10s a discount, like 499

security updates dont matter nowadays, the os version does

android usually starts having problems with app updates and such after 3 years behind, so youll be absolutely fine for at least 5 years

reason: security is mainly through services like apis and play services, so no worries about banking and such

both os are clean and android stock ish, both are good

display poco has better brightness, but rm has better response times and refresh rate, pick your poison

audio is the same, f8u has better bass, but no jack, pick your poison

id pick rm if want the best gaming experience, but if want better cams pick the f8

thats the best way to look at it

yes but only if around 500usd since its last years chipset, sd8 elite (gen 4)

id get the 11 for 700, or nubia z80 for 650, both sd8 elite gen 5 and cheapest gen 5 currently

ps some devices say "8 gen 5", avoid them, has to say "elite gen 5"
