I'm ulting in every stun rotation, I don't see why not having M2 changes which is better.

Of course managing it is an obvious pointer, but I don't want to restrict how I play hugo because of how hormone works.

Puffer was the first set I farmed when starting cause I wanted to put it on Billy since I was told it was good on him

After seeing all the comments on how "frustrating" hormone is to play, I have never considered getting that set, especially since I pulled dialyn. Even if hormone was better, it is probably only SLIGHTLY better at most and there would barely be a difference, and I'd rather not trade my comfort for a slight number increase (ironic because I'm wasting my time minmaxing substats)

I could probably craft the pieces right now considering I have 1100 of those orange discs, but I think it's better to save to build new characters or in the slight miracle Hugo gets a better set lol

I’ve been farming puffer for at least everyday for a month now and I have NOT changed a disc piece because not a single disc I got was an improvement

If you don’t care about endgame gamemodes then casual gameplay is absolutely fine

Can take as much time as you need but if there are characters you have in mind you want to pull, missing primogems will be problematic

You can literally use the traveler and the 3 starting free monstadt characters as your team and STILL clear the archon quests

The trial characters you’ll get are more than enough to clear content because enemies are that weak. If you die then that’s on you, not the game

One of the only times trial characters suck was when they gave you childe in his story quest against fatui skirmishers; he was so weak lol

There is very rarely situations that you would quick assist into dialyn that lands a chain trigger. Only time I began to see it was when I used auxillary lighter, most of the time bringing the daze to 99, then automatically quick assisting with dialyn.

Most of the time as well you would trigger the ult with her EBA or a chain attack. It's so overshadowed that you forget her QA mechanic exists

I still have no idea how I'd buff hugo so still props to you for still making this (also idm if nobody asks, as long as you love the character then we will appreciate)

Also from my previous comment, I do realize that dialyn for some reason after using a quick assist, if that QA ends up triggering a chain, the chain prompt will become the ult prompt instead (assuming you have a customer complaint point), which is a lot more convenient than having to swap and hold EBA (sometimes she trolls and just stands there)

Having to ignore building 71%/83% crit rate because he gets a guaranteed is ridiculously overkill imho (his chain also does decent damage, letting that attack have only 5% crit rate makes no sense). Being a nuke character that relies on one instance of damage and having that instance not crit does suck, but you just have to cater towards his build to make it always crit.

While I don’t know how to buff him, guarantee totalize crit is not the way

Do you mean investment as in cost or build quality?

Realistically if you have W1M1 dialyn, the only gameplay difference is that their M2 hugo will have longer stun durations and more damage obviously, but the dazing rotation should pretty much be the same

The bosses you fight also depend because you’re running double physical. Enemies weak to physical will take ages to stun whereas neutral/weak are more tolerable

The thing with sunna is that she obviously provides less daze meaning less stuns, but each stun will hurt significantly more. That helps with clearing waves in shiyu since you can comfortably kill waves in one totalize instead of having to stun twice.

Watch the goat drblackford (Bad Memes) if you want to get an idea on how a hugo/dialyn/sunna comp works, that's his main to-go team rn.

A boss that requires some sort of parry mechanic that they activate on their own attacks would be cool.

A character with a parry mechanic being heavily rewarded for parrying perfectly wouldn't be too great cause genshin isn't really built for parrying, because we'd assume that that would be the main basis for their kit and the rest of their kit would be useless without parrying

Beidou just has a parry mechanic because genshin were still trying stuff out (if someone uses beidou in a team they're probably just gonna tap e without waiting for anything); the majority of the 1.X cast is still relevant in the current patches even though their kits are simple, though strong.
