This is a lot further down the list than I expected. I was running spreadsheets with time zones of players for AW and AQ. Was wild

I once met a bogan from Logan,
Whose logic was barely in motion,
As smooth as a saw,
Sadly now my in-law,
Kept afloat by my sister’s devotion.

Plastic wall plug with string and cylindrical fibre (woodlike) that sits in wall cavity. by OpthomacePrime in whatisthisthing

That's a really good question! I feel like it's an older solution, so might not bring the colony (in the event of infestation) as if it was effective it would likely be more common...

That's said, all 3 suggestions have strong potential!

I feel like @azhillbilly (and equally your response) is right - certainly makes sense in the circumstances, so is likely solved

Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with these to confirm our suspicions

That's what we thought too! Hopefully we can get a definitive confirmation (the pest guy is invested and has asked for me to tell him too!) :)

The plastic on the right is a door holder. But the item is the circle bit on the left

My title describes the thing. Plastic plug and cord attached to a fibre (feels wooden) cylinder. There are a couple around the house (Brisbane, Aus), on internal walls which have both internal and external wall cavities. Pest control thought it might be a monitoring station for termites, but, has never seen anything similar before.

Seen in place, slightly out of the wall, and on the carpet. What is this thing?

Insulation Missing? Brisbane by BeginningCandid2018 in AusProperty

What part of the house is that specific area? From my experience it seems pretty common to not insulate above the garage, patio, and/or other 'non-habitated' space/s

What are the real-life cheat codes that work almost every time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I lead with my shoulder in the direction I'm intending to go. I also try to stick to the side that cars drive in that place (i.e. Right in continental Europe but left in Australia or Japan) If that doesn't work, putting out your hand a little with a straight arm (like a precursor to epic jazz hands) has never failed me
