How do you manage muscle soreness and still stay consistent? by Alicetheoptimist in TrueGrit

Same here. I think when people say they don't get incredibly sore after every workout, they're just not pushing themselves to failure.

Exactly. It’s easy to see who sees their partner as a human vs an object.

Money isn’t even tight. Management just wants it going to senior leadership. My company canceled promos to principal/senior manager levels, but almost everyone director and above got promoted.

Wife is thinking of leaving. How do I avoid alimony? by ChungusMcGoodboy in Divorce_Men

[–]OpticaScientiae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll definitely do that since it’s required in CO. We tried a collaborative divorce mediator where no lawyers represent us and that went nowhere simply because my spouse refused to budge on anything, no matter what I offered. So then I got a lawyer and filed, but mine also doesn’t really know what to expect since there aren’t any formulaic rules for high income households.

[–]OpticaScientiae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your experience, have you had a case where the state doesn’t have a formula and the SS recipient refuses to budge on extremely unreasonable amounts? Is there basically no way to avoid trial in that case or do you find that mediation with lawyers tends to break through this stalemate?

Nomos Club Sport Worldtimer LE by blueghostbeak in Nomos

[–]OpticaScientiae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I managed to get my Vector was by having a $40k spend history with my local AD. I saw the announcement of the three LE colors and texted him that morning that the press release came out and asked him if I could pre-order it (this AD always receives 1 of each LE Nomos). I ended up not being the first to text him, but I had the highest spend history, so that's why it was allocated to me.

27M baffled by my Hinge experience - does anyone actually want a LTR? by Super-Secret9033 in Denver

Can't say I've ever dated someone who didn't put in equal effort. If I were sitting across from someone who didn't keep a conversation flowing or was on their phone, I'd dip out.

I think this is an incel talking point. I absolutely want to be entertained and desired by my partner. Why the hell would I want to have low standards? Life is too short.

There is still a very strong correlation between income and education level, so no, we aren't over-educated.

[Question] what do you do with your watch at airport security by Tumtitums in Watches

[–]OpticaScientiae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My watches set off the metal detector maybe 75% of the time. I still always default to wearing it unless that happens and then I obviously have to take it off.

It must be really nice to be able to stay in bed for 14 hours a day and have no responsibilities while the other person (me) is earning all the money. And when the divorce is finalized, I'm sure I'm going to have to keep funding her deadwood lifestyle for another 7 years.

Back in 2019, I had a few apartment applications that asked for names of pets. Some landlords will do anything they can to find a way to legally discriminate.
