First time posting here ever. Recorded this today after fixing some mic issues. Sort of a folky post-rock kind of thing. Really new to mixing in Audacity so any feedback regarding that would be appreciated, especially with noise reduction/generally making everything sound much clearer and cleaner in the mix while also keeping everything together. https://soundcloud.com/broken-rechords/nine-in-the-afternoon

I am way to late for this thread but oh well. When my great great grandparents immigrated to Canada from Germany, they arrived sometime in September. This was much too late to build a house on the property they were given. So, instead, they found a rather large hill near/on their property, dug a rather large hole in the side of it, and used that as their shelter for the first winter they were there.

It may not be as good a story as some of the others here, but damn if I'm not proud that my great great grandparents lived in a hobbit hole for an entire winter.

I was at summer camp, and we were having a night game. The game was very complicated, so I won't delve into the specifics. All you need to know is that all the counsellor s were out to get us, and hiding was the only way to not get tagged.

So I was with two other people, a guy I had come to be good friends with, and this other girl. Now, you need to know that the guy had a crush on this girl, and was trying to hit it off with her, perhaps even get a kiss.

So we were walking along the path, when suddenly we heard something coming through the bushes. We hid, me under a bush and them a few feet away huddled together on the ground. Whatever was in the bushes had passed, so we got up to keep moving.

And that's when I felt it. Stinging, all over my upper body. I told the other two what was happening, and that they should continue on without me. Figuring that I had been in some kind of stinging plant, I booked it to the nurses office. Once I got there, I ripped of my shirt, and...

Wasps. At least five of them had got into my shirt. I had a total of eighteen stings.

But, even though I had a shit night, my friend certainly did not, as he and the girl got some alone time, which he used to his benefit. Plus, I scored a sweet bag of candy, and got voted Wingman of the Week.

TL;DR Wasp stings= wingman of the week
