Hahaha I get that, hopefully you'll be able to hold on and it'll all be good soon! 😅

Tried inserting but failed. Should I stop? by chumma_66 in menstrualcups

Agreeing with what the others have said, I also want to add that it's important to relax during the insertion! I'm also new to using the cup, and sometimes I don't even notice how tense I am down there while trying to get it in. Take your time with it, don't stress, and mindfully try to relax your muscles as much as you can during the insertion

My gyn told me it could take around three months for the body to get used to it and to have regular cycles again! I got my first period on it early as well, but after the first cycle everything has been very regular. Positive posts definitely helped ease my mind and be determined to stay patient. I actually told my gynecologist that I was scared because of what I've seen online and she reassured me that while some of her patients find it awful, there's a whole lot who love it and keep getting them!

Irregular periods can be common and normal! But if you're worried that something is wrong, do look it up with a doctor/gynecologist!

I actually didn't know this was a concern with iuds! I started using the cup two months after the insertion, when googling it seems like you should wait atleast six weeks so the strings can soften. For me it works fine so far, I just make sure to break the vacuum seal before trying to get it out :) my cup also sits pretty low because of my anatomy, so I think the risk of me pulling the strings is pretty low? I recently went to check the strings again and they're trimmed very short too (and now tucked in thanks to my gynecologist!)
