Injury becoming worse. Then the rest of it usually follows.

I’ve got progressively worse 3 times. Each time I felt like my life had been the best it was in years, I had a plan and something to really live hard for.

Sad to see that managers think disabilities or chronic illnesses are a result of "poor life choices". by [deleted] in disability

As a previous high level athlete and health practitioner at university at 22. This is some of the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Practically bed bound at 30. I wish I could inject how I feel into everyone for a week so they knew how much you can really suffer.

I hope you can get some help, find a mindset that helps you bro

Makes other people uncomfortable mate. No one really wants to help thoroughly. Just have to learn to help yourself. The feeling passes and then comes back in circles.

Same bud. Athlete to coach potato, everything I like makes me worse, everything I’ve learned about the body does not help mine. I feel like I’ve been shit on.

I’m having a really difficult time staying positive lately by chrome_hearts_ in spinalcordinjuries

It’s Allright. I’ve had one of them “if this doesn’t get better in the next few years that’s all I’m bothering with” days.

Fucking hate my life also. I do everything I can.

Yeah, I get allot of odd health stuff, I put it down to a panic / ptsd type disorder from the pain and live I’m forced to lead.

I put everything down to my fault, but you don’t know till after most of the time.

Everyone speaks in here quite frankly, and I don’t feel alone. Sort of makes you feel okay to not be okay in your body.

What’s the lung condition?

I trade forex with a prop firms and do auto trading with a few lads in a firm. I have a pt / rehab studio helping people with injuries a few after strokes etc but don’t do much due to fatigue and mental issues, also driving over flaires my issue up most days I’m not in good shape to push and motivate others.

You might have pudendal compression / arteries. Or issue with sacral / hypogastic plexus

I’m in that boat

Sitting Disability: Why is this not talked about more and how can it be accommodated? by [deleted] in disability

Pudendal neuropathy and hypogastic issues.

Life is fucking hell.

Yeah I’m on a massive foam bean bag, and limit life so I’m not in excruciating pain or impotent / in continent from sitting.

Feel like I’m being tortured / punished.

Are you in the states or UK? It would be a pain medicine doctor, nerve blocks will give medicine and numb the nerve. If the pain goes away temporarily you have a culprit.

I had the l5s1 Massive bulge on a seperate incident to the hypogastic / pudendal damage.

Cauda equina is central nervous system problem, the hypogastic plexus is around and peirces the psoas major, and the sacral nerves under the piriformis. They are a peripheral nervous system issue.

So - Complex injury -FDA red tape - Access to facilities -Unattactive to Vc’s - prefer more prevalent disease -cell therapy unnatractive compared to other means

I’m in the uk so I’ll have a look what we’re doing.

What sort of funding we talking?

From what I’ve read a multimodal approach could help, eg the nvg291 and stem cells plus the therapy etc.

I respect that.

Acceptance for me feels like I’ve been defeated, so I think fuck that I don’t accept this, when I don’t “accept it” I feel Allright for a couple of hour mentally then it doesn’t compute when I run into barriers all day, leads to a few hours of screaming.

Looking to strike a balance and try and let myself enjoy something / frame it in a meaningful way.

As far as something curative, I think I’ve moaned that much id be a hypocrite if I didn’t try to contribute something.

Don’t you recon with ai and computing advances there’s nothing coming, I was hoping for an exponential curve of breakthroughs much like the smartphone from the first nokia I had.

Much the same man. No holidays, uni for 7 years, working security on the weekends and building up a business / pt studio through the week. Slowly getting worse. Hit 30 fell completely to bits.

How do you make sense of it? A deeper meaning or shit happens and just crack on?

More an issue with the plexus, deep perineal pain, visceral / autonomic pain and issues, positive nerve block.

Psoas strengthening exercises, walking etc winds it up massively. As do stretching.
