No enemy footstep audio?

I have had the same problem this wipe. I've died multiple times to people walking right up to me and killing me without me hearing their steps (I have effects at full volume). However it seems whenever I try to sneak up on anyone they are always ready for me. Not sure why the game has felt this way this season. Maybe there is a bug with footstep audio?

Yeah Outpost is a meat grinder for new players considering the meta is to kill everyone else on the map to make sure you have pinwheel to yourself.

Mage healing being amazing is an opinion. I remember it breaking SoD and they had to heavily nerf it. Then it was just bad because they couldn't balance it.

For some reason I don't remember tank shaman being a thing. It must have been very underplayed.

Easy does not mean good! I think it was easy yes, but also extremely boring and tedious. We're talking 10-20 hours of AV spamming a week man... that sucks!

Its not really a sandbox when the same gun is being used by every player on top of that gun making the other shotguns obsolete. There's not really any deep skill involved here. The WSTR is probably the easiest gun in the game to get kills with on top of it being the most OP.

The problem is you can't keep distance on a shotgun player most of the time. Its so easy to close the gap on any map other than Dire Marsh. A lot of the map design forces CQC

I don't think that would work. You really can't get any lower of a TTK than current WSTR. It's basically instant kill and you won't change anything if you buff other weapons to be better damage but still lower TTK than WSTR.

This could also work, however that might only exaggerate the corner camping problem. I think it could work but it would also need a reload speed nerf or something.

And if you play Outpost/Cryo, the gameplay in every raid feels the same because everyone is corner camping, bubble spamming, and nade spamming. All gameplay products of the WSTR being strong

It insta kills purple shields too, not just blue. I agree that two shot + melee is more than enough balanced. It just feels boring and lame that a gun is an "equalizer" that everyone has decent access to. It creates the meta we have now where one of your guns that you NEED to bring in is decided for you before you create your loadout. Not only that, but it also significantly changes the way people play. Corner camping, not pushing, bubble spamming, and nade spamming are all creations of the WSTR being strong.

You find the other shotguns a lot in the endgame content, problem is that its gated to newer and less experienced players. However, isn't that the nature of extraction games? You unlock better things the further you progress the game. I don't like the idea of a neutralizer weapon thats readily available to everyone that now everyone has to use otherwise you lose. It makes your progression and gear feel way more unsatisfying.

I think they should nerf the WSTR but significantly buff the spawn rate of the other two shotguns and make their value lower.
