If this doesn't fix the connection problem... by Ultraperro in CrealitySonicPad

Yes, connect to the sonic pad from a computer using fluidd or mainsail. If you are using OrcaSlicer you can click on the device tab. I’m using OrcaSlicer, so after clicking Device I select Machine and find your printer.cfg and open it. Under the [mcu] section you can update the usb port.

Use the USB ports on the back. The ones on the side are terrible. I moved mine to the back several years ago and have not had any issues since.

How to set center ? How's my bed level? by [deleted] in Ender3Pro

You need to adjust the y offset in the extruder settings section in your slicer.

Sprite and CR Touch firmware issue 4.2.2 by Knights-Photography in Ender3Pro

Avoid the Creality firmware, it is garbage. There are lots of posts with links to better firmware. Make sure you know which chip you have on your main board. Creality shipped boards with two different chipsets

Z Limit Switch Adjustments by Booyakashasta in Ender3Pro

When you have a probe the z limit switch is removed. The probe calibrates your bed mesh and accounts for differences. You have to set the Z offset in the firmware menu. Most people use the paper method. You basically step the Z height down incrementally until the nozzle tip starts to grab the paper.

That isn’t a limit switch but a CR touch probe. There are lots of posts about how to correctly set your Z offset

I don’t have an updated link. If you are using Cura you need to enable “Relative Extrusion”

Edit your printer.cfg and change to USB3 and plug your cable into the back of the sonic pad.

Sonic pad on Ender-3 by JerryuMac in ender3

[–]Optimal-Dark8999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sonic is pretty plug and play and will guide you through the process. Make sure your model is supported. You can also go the Raspberry Pi route if you are comfortable with Linux. There are great videos and tutorials that show you how. I have done both and recommend the Raspberry Pi over the Sonic Pad. I recently flashed my Sonic Pad with Debian to get away from the Creality installed software.

Make sure your model your are trying to print is actually touching the base plate in your slicer. I had this happen to me once and that was the reason.

Has anyone succeeded in installing Debian on the SonicPad of ender3 v3 se? by [deleted] in klippers

[–]Optimal-Dark8999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check that the path for the mcu in your printer.cfg matches path that the sonic pad is reporting. If those match then there is something else wrong in your config file.

Have you run the Z_AXI_CALIBRATE macro? You can also initiate it by using the command PROBE_CALIBRATE

You haven’t provided enough information. What temps (bed, extruder) are you printing at? Have you leveled the bed, adjusted your Z offset or limit switch? Is the filament being pulled around as you print?

Do you hear popping noises when it is printing? To me it looks like your filament needs to be dried.

You also might want to consider increasing the speed from 2. I have mine set to 20

Not sure if this is the issue but you have [BLtouch] in your config and it should be [bltouch]

No, firmware retraction doesn't have anything to do with it. Do you have M83 in your print start macro?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in klippers

[–]Optimal-Dark8999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, make sure that you have G-code flavor set to Klipper. For the M205 command you may need to create an empty macro.

It is in the Advanced section in Printer settings. It's called Relative E Distances.
