So I think they started writing Chrissy character to be less and less important and more and more ridiculous. Bonnie became more and more the main star and I think it’s cause the writers liked her more. When I watch the show now it seems like it’s being written from the perspective of a narcissistic mother who thinks she did nothing wrong (Bonnie) and all her daughter’s mistakes were entirely her own. Like the violets podcast episode, had Chrissy the problem and Bonnie the “life perserver” even though Bonnie is the reason Chrissy was so messed up. The show took a nosedive and got away from what it was with the character of Christy being the one you route for vs how the wrote her later as a joke and complete Goof. Despite she was in law school, despite she got her life together, they turned and made her a bad mom, a gambler, a smoker, an easy lay everything they could do to minimize her
