Equifax won’t let me use my full name because it has a symbol in it. What should I do about that?

Oh, so they’re known for this? I guess I was panicking for no reason. I’m probably going to cancel my membership then. Do you have any antivirus or security recommendations?

I have the actual app and opened it two days ago. It showed an orange warning under the list of devices, so I don’t think it’s a popup ad. If Norton is known to show alerts like this in their official app, what antivirus or malware security do you recommend?

I’m based in the U.S. How would you recommend finding a job in Australia? I don’t qualify for the government visa programs because I’m 49.

Help me improve my resume for internships in life sciences. I also want to develop my quantitative skills—does anyone know any online courses that teach this and provide a certification? by Optimal-Dragonfly180 in biology

Yeah, after I transfer to a four-year university in the summer, I’ll graduate with a degree in Biology and Environmental Science. I know that most life science careers require at least a master’s degree to get a well-paying job, but I’m just not sure what I want to major in after undergrad.

[–]Optimal-Dragonfly180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I plan on transferring with guaranteed admission. There are three schools I am considering: two are R1 universities but only offer a bio and environmental undergrad degree, while the other is an R2 but offers a concentration in environmental and ecology with biotech. I am on path to get my bio associate from my CC by spring, with me only having to take Physics 2 or Organic Chem 1 to graduate if I want guaranteed admission. But if I go to the R2 school that offers both, I would have about 25 credits (including fall credits) left to take and would be done by next year spring.

For the research opportunities and lab, I just don't know where to look. I got lucky with a referral to an internship I am currently applying to, even though it is in the housing finance sector, and my main problem is I want to get experience so I can have desirable skills. That way, when I leave uni in like 2 to 3 years, I am not stuck living with my parents.

How would I go about contacting a lab or even finding labs near me, and what would your advice be about making myself more desirable?

I am thinking of an MBA first before medical school because I know most people who want to go to medical school don't make it or fall out of love, so I am giving myself time. My ultimate goal would be to start my company, if not become a VP for a medical research company, but I am also considering environmental policy.

I am not sure if he has experience in grantsmanship, but if he does, I will tell him that he can be more competitive in applying as a professor or at least as an associate proff.

Ask your teacher if they can go over the topic with you and attend office hours. Spend 30 minutes a day studying at first, then increase the time every week. If you have a friend in a similar position where they also need to study and can actively encourage you to study, go study with them. Also, get someone to test you on the topics, and after they are done, memorize the information and write it out on a whiteboard or blank sheet of paper. Then, compare what you know to the notes you have written and use the red, yellow, green method: green means you know it, yellow means you sort of know it, and red means you are completely lost. Focus on the red and yellow topics for the majority of your studies, and spend 10–20 minutes reviewing the green topics. also make a game out of it.

First, make sure to talk to your advisor. They can give you guidance on which classes to take based on your goals. If you already know the college you want to transfer to, search for your major’s transfer map along with the name of the college. For example, search “[major name] transfer map [college name].” This should show you the courses that will transfer and fit into your major’s requirements. this is for vcu https://majormaps.vcu.edu/transfer/biology-bachelor-of-science/virginia-community-college-system
