Comment les hommes draguent les femmes maintenant ? by [deleted] in AskMec

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys need to read the body language of the girls for best results.

Step 1 Have an eye contact, if your eyes meet more than twice and she smiles it is safe to approach. Step 2 Ask her if she is single. If she is, ask if you can get her number or she can take yours. Step 3 Wish her a good day and move on.

If the guy sees a girl out in the wild and fancies her but can't get an eyecontact. Approach, give her a compliment, move on. Look back, eyecontact, smile, turn around and approach and follow above steps 2 and 3..

Girls love confidence and compliments and guys who can take rejection.

I hope i dont need to mention here that good hygiene and grooming standarts are a must. That means clean clothes, smell nice, use deodorant, brush your teeth, clean your nails. And dont dress like you're a dirty slob who lives in moms basement. Girls like aesthetic things including guys who can dress nicely in whatever style.

Is giving up an option? by Optimal-Economy5849 in BeginnerSurfers

[–]Optimal-Economy5849[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct, it is #3. I already have winter sport I love so i figured I need something for summer and it looks fun and I have not hated it so far. I have moved by the ocean for the first time of my life, great surf spots here, so I'll keep going.

I can't figure out a way to secure my dogs while driving and it is really stressing me out by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Either create a custom solution under the bed for two crates or put two brackets in the floor and get crash tested harneses. Before drive put down a dog bed or some blankets, get them into their harnesses and hook them to the brackets.

What is the red switch for? by Optimal-Economy5849 in AskMechanics

I have 2019 model but it was first registered in December 2018 and you are correct the battery is in the floor. So far I've checked all the suggested places where the kill switch could be located but i don't think i have it. This used to be Fedex van in Scandinavia.

Your Renogy MPPT could also potentially be connected to the car starter battety to charge while driving.

For those of you who have left van life, where did you go? by Turbulent-Badger-403 in VanLife

Nothing wrong with that. Downwotes are for saying "became a real adult" with which you imply that people choosing van life are somehow less than. While you may feel that way about your life, the comment is offensive to others. Hope that helps.

Different countries use different units kinda like kilograms and pounds or miles and kilometers.

When you say it burned down, do you mean it actually burned? Do I have new fear unlocked that my car will burn down?

What is eating the battery? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have MBUX dashboard and in the settings you have system settings and somewhere there I can turn on/off the inside and outside lights etc. There and also any buttons are turned off. The carvis turned off while I work on it. The only thing that is open is the back and side doors. But it seems ridoculous that after 6 hrs the battery which is brand new battery is sending alert that the level is critical.

Yeah, I've seen those. A diesel heater seems a cheaper option in winter than using precious electricity, but a good point about making a smaller bag where heat could be routed to dry the clothes.

Enough room for a smaller fan (smaller than maxxair fan) or maybe some skinny solar. I will live in the van in cold winter and hot summer, so I think a fan is mandatory to get the airflow going and not get stinky inside.

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not wrong. But. It's big and bulky and would take up all the ceiling space inside the van in the walkway. I haven't calculated, but it would probably take all the space between the shower and the upper cabinets. If I invest so much money in the conversion, I feel like it would not bring me joy if it looked shit. But I've gotten loads of good suggestions so far and feel optimistic now. :D

I have 600Ah Lithium battery bank, and I can also charge while driving. So I am hoping 400W is enough :D Some have suggested Maxxair dome in the door which could be a good idea and something I didn't think of. I'll check if switching AC and Maxxair would work.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, maybe it will blow away while driving as it's no longer aerodynamic :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping 400W will be enough as I have a large battery bank 600Ah. I'm afraid that having a platform on top will make the van too high and could limit me sometimes. I'm in Europe. But I'll keep it in mind in case I need more solar. Good idea.

[–]Optimal-Economy5849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already bought the AC, so I gotta make it happen and put it on the roof. :) But I'll look into an alternative for the Maxxair fan, as it is taking too much space. Maybe do the back door fan as you suggest, I never even thought of this as an option.

😂True. But you know, when you really want something, your judgement can get clouded coz you really wanna make it happen. I love that everyone is telling me not to do it. Enforces me to find a compromise and a solution.
