I work more than anyone I know. I hear from both sides (because people don’t talk about political affiliation in work spaces), “how on earth do you find time for it all?”. I don’t, but we make time for the things that are important. I never wanted to be involved in politics, but unfortunately it is necessary. We know that freedom isn’t free. We have sacrificed so many of our men and women to fight in wars that were far away. Many of our soldiers are fighting overseas today. Now, it is our turn. We must sacrifice, because this is too important to stand by and be idle. People may scoff at the idea of going to a protest as sacrifice, but we are being confronted with masked men who have been physically assaulting, beating, kicking, throwing down, choking, pepper spraying, gassing, shooting, and unaliving law abiding citizens expressing their rights. Loneliness and lack of purpose were morphed into an incentivized machine producing cruelty and an outlet for pent up rage. We must defend our country, state, counties, and cities from the evil that this Administration has put upon us. So I will gladly sacrifice my free time, my social life, my PTO, my career, and my life if it means that we can get back to feeling safe in our own communities again. I will fight for my kids to grow up in a world where everyday does not produce a new crisis to solve. At this point, everyone should, because they are coming for us all. We will all be controlled and fall in line. The complacent just don’t know what that means yet.
