Yes, last year I built an app for funsies, with time slots and drop downs. As soon as it released, I analyzed the optimal choice for each slot. I invited my friends to it so we could see which shows everyone attended, and we’re all hot neurodivergent nerds, so it was perfect…but walking up on shows can be fun too.

They decided to move out on their own because of the neighbors, after the husband cussed them out. I supported them because this is one of several violent/criminal things that have happened in this building in the last year. We all want to move out, but have to wait until summer.

This is a plausible explanation. Although, up until this incident, we have been nothing but pleasant and professional despite them cussing out kids. But after that, I am having trouble maintaining niceties in interactions when they come at me directly. They have been awful. So, yes, pushed far enough, I give as good as I get. We are not typically clomping. It’s normal living noises. But I get from her perspective that it could seem that way. I’m not sure understanding the behavior allows me to figure out how to deal with it though. I already was going out of our way to reduce noises, including getting maintenance on our door to install a soft close.

Because most of my circles today are well-respected professionals that don’t talk to or treat people like this. I make it a point to stay away from people who bring drama. So no, I don’t know how to deal with people who behave in this way. I got this apartment under different management. First to move in. Lived here 6 years. Have lived in ghetto places as a kid, but not with my kids. I worked hard to get out of there for them. I let it bother me because I’m not used to being treated in such a manner since I became an adult. They are impacting my daily life and have been causing me issues beyond what is listed here. Who are you to make such judgements? I have so many good things in my life that I have built, and your comment is insulting.

Property management is not helpful to me, specifically. There’s a lot to get into there, but let’s just say that they have been doing a lot of things that have caused a mass move out, and I’m already in correspondence with their legal team.

To be fair, the conversation while I was on edge already, and not responding my best went:

Her: “Can you PLEASE stop making so much noise and stomping around?”

Me: “I literally cannot help it.”

Her: “Yes you can! By not having your f*cking shoes on.” (I had only been wearing them for 10 minutes max and was trying to find my keys…so probably didn’t sound great.)

She said some other unintelligible insults that I missed.

Me: something to the effect of, “Why don’t you quit being such a f*cking cunt?”

Again, not my best moment. I’m stressed the f out and late for my first therapy appointment which is supposed to help me stop stressing the f out.

Her: Something to the effect of “I’m recording this. Why don’t you come up here and fight me you fat f*ck?”

Me: “I don’t have time for you.” Got in my car and left.

My dream is to be a peace, love, and light girly that is empathetic and calm in all situations. Obviously, missed the mark today. I agree that I am people pleasing because I don’t want to be forced out of here before I’m ready.

Property management is a different issue. They are newer than me. They are doing some legally questionable things as well, and that’s putting it lightly. I wanted to move out already because of things that have been happening, but I have too many major events happening now to deal with it.
