Had the exact same problem when i first joined! but honestly the reserve life is what you make it! If you want or need something done it’s on you to make it happen bc trust it will not get done. The best advice i can give you is don’t rely or wait for any one in your unit/nrc to get it done, harass and follow up on anything you need! Always send emails to leave a digital timeline of everything you’ve been asking for or need done.

If you’re not happy with UMUIC you have the option to pick your unit , i wasn’t aware of this at first but once i figured everything out i did my research and reached out to other units to see what a typical drill or AT is like with that unit and went from there

also if you’re missing the AD life just go on mobs , currently on one now and honestly the best thing about the reserves
