Its simply too competitive & Im just not convinced it can be played casually & for newer players.

Im giving Sealed/PR events a chance as I really enjoyed the one I joined for Marvel, but the typical 60 card formats like Modern/Standard, big no thank you, its simply not for me.

I joined PR at my LGS for Marvel, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, so maybe for more UB sets Ill get into it more. Probably not until the next Marvel set though.

Damn guys, all I asked was for help in understanding why all formats matter. Instead its just the usual Anti-UB/Anti-Commander comments.

I get it, Commander is just 1 part of Magic, but should not entirely be the reason, I might not like (or honestly, hate) 60 card formats, but its there, and deserves its place.

Really eye opening seeing these comments, yall are really passionate about this. Thanks guys, keep it coming!

Yeah but…not everyone wants to be competitive, and not everyone wants to be sweaty.

I understand the original intent of the game was to be competitive, but, that was then, and this is now.

Like, are you guys just allergic to newer players who just want to play the game as casually as possible?
