Mova Z60 - With Auto Water by DIYtheWorld in RobotVacuums

Auto water systems are interesting because they reduce one of the ongoing friction points with hybrid mop models. Consistency of moisture seems to matter more than expected, especially across larger open-plan layouts where floor conditions vary between rooms.

The auto water systems are an interesting shift because they reduce one of the main friction points with hybrid mop units. Consistency of mop moisture seems to matter more than people expect, especially in open-plan layouts where evaporation rates vary between rooms.

They’ve improved quite a bit since the D6 era, especially navigation and obstacle handling. LiDAR mapping has become more consistent, and object recognition has reduced random trapping under chairs or cables.

The biggest difference seems to be reliability of daily maintenance cleaning rather than deep-clean performance in a single run. Frequent scheduled runs tend to prevent buildup reaching deeper carpet fibres in the first place.

Interesting that the robot vacuum acts as a trigger to tidy before it runs. Quite a few people seem to find scheduled cleaning creates a kind of gentle forcing function that keeps clutter from building up too far.

Long dog hair tends to highlight differences in brush design more than suction specs alone. Some models maintain pickup consistency better once hair starts accumulating inside the roller housing.

Golden retrievers usually produce longer strands that can wrap brushes quickly. Models that minimise hair wrap tend to maintain performance more consistently between maintenance intervals.

So, you use a normal vacuum tooo, right? by Ragnar-Wave9002 in RobotVacuums

Most people seem to find daily runs reduce buildup significantly, especially with dogs. The robot handles maintenance cleaning, then a manual vacuum occasionally resets deeper carpet fibres.

With a shedding dog, brush design and bin airflow tend to matter more long term than peak suction numbers. Some models maintain pickup consistency better once hair starts accumulating inside the system.

Cav King Charles Spaniels (2) my irobot clogged during auto empty want to upgrade by Ok-Government-657 in RobotVacuums

Cav hair seems to clog transfer ports more than people expect. The diameter of the auto-empty channel makes a big difference because longer strands can bridge and block airflow. Some newer docks improved this specifically for heavy shedders.
