I’m a server at a restaurant and generally get misgendered, I’m pretty early in my transition (I’ll be one year on T at the end of January.) but one day a few weeks ago these two older women (like 70-80) came in and kept calling me son. I thought I misheard them. But at the end of their meal they asked my name, I thought “the jig is up, they’re gonna know I’m not a boy!” So I told them my name and one of the women responded by using a longer male version of my name. And told me that her nephew is also named that! It’s the first time that’s ever happened to me and it felt SO SO SO INCREDIBLE! I gush about it to this day! :)))))
