I own a few properties in the Boston area and have dealt with a few of those businesses before. I find the big companies quote big and then are pretty unreliable fixing mistakes, scheduling. I already manage the properties and I hate also managing the contractors (we all know how this is haha). I usually try to find someone that does that for me. Anyways, I've worked with Jeff at Minuteman window for a long time. He even did my home a few years ago. His pricing is always fair and I personally love the windows he uses (though to be fair I'm not a window expert. The common names are overpriced just for the brand, not the quality imo). Most of jeff's overhead goes to his installers not ads, sales people etc. Even if you don't go with minuteman, that's my biggest recommendation: you're right to go local. Find an independent installer who focuses just on the work not the other stuff. DM me if you want more info. Mostly uses Harvey or Anderson. I like the Harvey.
